But I think this happens too often; terminals sent late unprojected freight to the fac after the other drivers from distant terminals have left their barn. Linehaul sent 8 DSRs due to projections and your barn sent 4 more late trailers now we're 6 trailers over and they want us to break all the trailers to make cold loads, in order to keep the must move freight from being late, fac closes late, proper gets back to our terminal late, city dsr get to his delivery local late, doesn't have time to make all deliveries and misses pickups because he's late, gets back to terminal late..........are we seeing a pattern here? If it's late....let it sit!
Let it sit in a trap trailer at reship or move it closer if pos...

we got city pnd drivers still making pick ups after 630 pm and getting back around 730 or later so the long run are late to the fac

That, it would seem, would be the fault of the city dispatcher{unless of course this terminal is short drivers}. Routes needs to be structured that pick-ups made before 5-5:30 are brought back to sc to be sent to fac, later pickups can return to sc later and can sit. I realize everyone wants to make their "numbers" look good and some want to impress others by getting it done...but if by getting it done you screw-up another part of the system, then it's counterproductive.
