Back in his teenage years my son and a friend were sportin' some hair on their faces and proud of it. The friend's grandfather looked at his grandson and stated in front of everyone:

"Why do you want to cultivate something on your FACE that grows WILD on my a$$??"

It an old saying...when the guys would start to get those little soft whiskers on their face and they thought they were hot stuff because they were getting to the 'shaving' part of their puberty, the older guys would always make fun of them and say "you don't have enough whiskers to shave...just put some cream on your face and let the cat lick it off and that will take of it just fine".

A real ego buster...and of course it was always said in front of the girls...what else!!!!....

Sky King......was what made me want to be a pilot. That was a "twin Beech", and I actually got to fly one, once a few years back. I thought I was the only one who remembered that show......

this is the best thread i have ever read on here.....no "this company is smelly..." or "the bean counters don't know poop...." or "my manager is the spawn of the devil..." or "this company wants to fire every one of us and just move the freight by video feed ..."

I am just a newbie and i have not posted often at all....some of that is because i seem to only want to post when i am ticked off at what someone has said. i have been viewing posts for the last month or so and i came to the conclusion that i had to stop...i was getting too ticked off and it was no good for me. This is your forum, not mine so it is only right for me to just let it go. Then i read BB's message in this thread and i almost had a tear come to my eye (not literally). What he said was perfect (yes perfect). This thread has given me hope. Hope that not all is lost to those 10% that think the sky is falling it is all JL's fault. I really respect some of you guys. though i do not always agree, i see where you are intelligent people that think for yourselves instead of sticking to the driver's room lawyer's "they stick it to you any chance they get..." philosophy.

and BoxBoss....i hear you. After your vacation, your presence is wanted here. I do not blame you if you choose not to participate. I have had the very same feelings as you. But you are not replaceable here. You have done good things on this forum. Good things for those that choose to listen and make up their own minds.

Everyone is replaceable everywhere...sorry about the tears...I have that effect on employees too with some of my decisions at times...and really, you can see what this thread dissolved into...we went straight to cartoon characters and never looked back...nothin' better than the world of make believe...but, appreciate the thought, thanks..

You would think common sense would weigh in here but there have been no known allowances made for such foolishness. So, demotion would depend on how the policy guide reads that day.
 
when you get above FOM, you do not get demoted, you get escorted.....off the premesis.

Ah, not completely true, but in most cases, accurate...We keep an old 45 around of "Happy Trails" by Roy Rogers just in case..now THAT brings a tear to my eye...

Go Ahead DW, BankR, W99, I am waiting...!!!!!! I know one of you is loading up as we speak...
