Yellow | Tremendous outcome,’ judge says in approval of Yellow terminal sales

The tombstone clearly shows the intent of the IBT to force Yellow into bankruptcy. That along with the refusal to negotiate will cost the union tens of millions of dollars. It may take several years to get through the courts but eventually the IBT will settle any pay 50 to 100 million in damages.
BTW: companies are in business to benefit the owner/shareholders. Employees are merely tools of production.
Wrong...this was the post....O'Brien is clearly saying that Hawkins is a poor CEO, he nowhere says or implies that he wants to see Yellow fail.....

"If “Do Nothing Darren” continues he will single handily destroy a once honorable company … RESIGN NOW… Our members are done making bad investments….."

O'Brien's tweet was June 24th..... A month later the strike threat happened due to Yellow not making required Health and Welfare payments.....so freight volumes fell then, not after the tombstone tweet like some of you guys like to mistakenly say...here is a quote, I will post the link...
After the strike threat, Yellow's freight volumes fell 80% within the span of a week, according to Jack Atkins, a managing director at the financial services firm Stephens who researches the transportation sector.
At the same time, he said, Yellow's cries that it was running out of cash during union negotiation attempts scared off customers.

An honest days work, for an honest days pay. Nothing more and nothing less! And don't ever go above and beyond for any company, because at the end of the day you are just a number.
Never go above and beyond but give an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.
I'm so confused. Is an honest day's work 100% or something less?

Is that what the. Investors and shareholders did? And the Execs that drove it into the ground?
Is it an honest days work and pay in their scenario?
Reading these finance stories celebrating the job losses of 30,000 for profits ensures that I will never own a flag. Never. I couldn't care less if the nation collapsed seeing this happen to citizens over and over and over again our whole luved.
No flag. No way. No how.

Obviously the same types have us all paying taxes for a $30+trillion debt that can't be paid back.

So we work a job which debt can't be paid back.
Interest debt. And have taxes taken out mandatory to pay government debt.

If it collapses maybe we can finally just work for ourselves and pay no interest on our homes.

Finance celebrates. They can burn in Hell.
I'll I still in my kids and grandkids minds to never ever ever ever put an American military of police uniform on to enforce the laws for these bastards.
Never. Don't come to us when somebody comes to take the money celebrated by theft....of course the racketeers legalized the ideal...so it's not written as theft....but it is theft.

The entitlement program of interest and compound interest must end.
Every price in the store is as high as it is because every company which makes a product and all of its packaging materials companies and all of the transport companies have debt and it is in the price.
The Fed is here to ensure that we constantly take the hit for that theft to continue.

Interest and taxes in every product.
This is what we pay for.....and they attack jobs to bring the inflation down

That explains the superb motivation and work ethic. Rather than pursuing a career in transportation maybe disc golf, professional hacky sack tournaments or glass blowing would better suit you.
Well actually Ex, some of us WERE recognized for our superb motivation and work ethic. I am in the room at the house right now (our home office space) where the trophies, certificates, thank you notes from company higher-ups, and award plaques are housed. Very proud of my accomplishments, thank you.

Maybe try a strain that won't make you so defensive while still allowing you to remain as productive.

You know the stereotype is what it is because stereotypes are largely true. There are always exceptions.

Your version of utopia sounds amazing!

I just proudly hung my flag, thanked those serving, and glancing at the thin blue line plates on my truck warmed my heart.

In your scenario I'm wondering who paid for the building your hardware store is in? The grocery store? The gas station? What about the equipment you use at work, who paid for that? How did they acquire that stuff before they sold a single thing or provided a single service? Folks just gave them the money without expecting any return on that investment?

Paying no interest on your home? Where did you get the money to buy it up front?

Sounds like Slave is off his meds again.

I think I understand your point, but please rest assured that a LOT of us worked very hard trying to help the place thrive. How many were "the other team"? I really don't know. I didn't stop what I was doing to watch them. In my terminal I was aware of a small handful that I considered useless. How many were like them? Again, I don't know. Now, how many of the sales and management staff were inept? In my experience, I had a handful of sales reps (unfortunately MY sales reps) who were beyond hapless. One in particular got promoted to his next level of incompetency twice. Sheesh!!! Others were discovered and shown the door.
Visiting "glass house" personnel?? Some sharp, others not at all. The good ones frequently got frustrated and found "greener pastures" somewhere else. In the big picture, one of the things we suffered from was people furiously rowing the ship in divergent directions, and the oar-master not knowing how to fix that.

I have no doubt that most of the folks were working hard to save the ship. I also have no doubt that there was some incompetency and ineptness to be found at all levels. Initially I was speaking to those giving 15% less at every turn. Then I was speaking to those who found their motivation and inspiration at the bottom of that bowl.

My interpretation of "motivation and inspiration" was: There's only one way we're going to dig out of this hole; get our biggest shovel and get diggin'" The problem was (and is): Our digging didn't yield just and due rewards for us. The "glass house" bunch reaped the rewards of our digging, which by and large they didn't share with us. That was a HUGE problem!

Sounds like Slave is off his meds again.
When the system you sell and believe so deeply in comes crashing down......it's gonna sound like a lot of people are off their meds.
It's an unstable economic system which has run it's course.
Shuffling stuff around to hide it isn't gonna last much longer at $30+ trillion in debt.
I don't use or need meds.
But you guys who push this BS will surely need them when it fails.
And it's coming.
There's no way to pay down that $34,trillion and the people who setup and taught you this interest based system knew it then and know it now.
