Yellow | What cracks me up is everybody but the Union men made out with this closure.

It's hilarious that you think union employees didn't benefit at all with 15 more years of employment All the conspiracy theory talk is getting old. They tried to stay in business, they failed. Current management was handed a dying horse from the Zollars era that had no chance. Yellow wouldn't have survived if the baks wouldn't have stepped, time and time again. Everyone deserves a little blame in their downfall.

Good point, the real problem was that the company was never able to generate profits BEFORE EBITDA!
Meaning before they paid the banks interest $$$ there was very little to no profits. Thus while the interest payments did kill the company, they were not profitable before they even had to pay the bankers their vig.
Even if there were little to no debt the company would have eventually shutdown. Of course it would have lasted longer but who knows.
Zollars tried to do what his competitors were doing, buying up carriers to create a super carrier. That strategy works great with non union carriers and great managers, Yellow had neither, thus the result we saw. Fed Ex Freight, Saia, ODFL Estes & R&L all purchased other LTL carriers and integrated them into their company very successfully. Zolars was correct but he tried to do this with the wrong organization

Amish????? How do you get work, since you don’t use electronics?????
Actually most of the Amish in our area have a cell phone , but pretend they don't , because they use it to sell dogs from the puppy mills and stale food & crooked furniture and maple sap to the saps !!:lmao:
