Socialist a new term? Where the heck have you been? This country started to become a socialist country when FDR enacted "The New Deal", thanks to government schools this country is in full steam to become more like Europe(and they are doing so well aren't they?).

Hmmmm.....take Billions to Bomb---then rebuild Iraq......or spend BILLIONS rebuilding America.....that Obama is such a monster isn't he? I would be willing to bet all the laid off Fed-Ex drivers are taking full advantage of that Evil socialist unemployment insurance. Maybe even using state sponsored health care for their kids too! Well lets see, it was in the 90's that the Feds thought that every American whether they could afford it or not deserved to buy a home, and so the Community Reinvestment Act helped all these poor, poor people that couldn't get loans to begin with get them by forcing banks hand out money that they shouldn't have. This kind of foolish government should have been stopped by Bush but it wasn't so he is to blame also along with every democrat and republican up there on the hill. This was the start of the meltdown that you speak of, not greed. Its the federal government to blame, let the free market work on its own.

God I hope not on 8 years of Obama, but I will agree with you that the republicans need alot of help. They abandoned Reagan Conservatism and this is why they are out of power in all fronts. I must say I am pleasantly suprised at how well everyone here has presented their arguements both Republicans and Dems alike. For awhile there I must confess after seeing the literacy errors on these threads I was becoming a bit discouraged but now I see there are intelligent beings in the driving industry after all :-).
