bfalls you almost have to wonder if that wasnt part of the master plan, at Roadway we were told Yellow was the competion and Im sure they were told the same thing.. They blame us we blame them and everybody else in the industry is still laughing and throwing out the rumors.. The interfighting will be the demise long before the other competion..Good luck with that Al. This is an ongoing feud between the knuckleheads at the now defunct Yellow and Roadway, that will never let this settle. The cold hard facts are that if Yellow had not borrowed the $$$ to buy Roadway and USF, Yellow would be resting quietly in a grave in Overland Park KS, as is Preston, Jevic, Hall Brothers. I am a proud Ex-Roadway guy, and now Holland, that knows that this bickering is nothing more then a diversion to distract us from the real problem, which is to recover the "new" company (YRC) and return ALL of us to profitability. Until Big Jim and the knuckleheads in Overland Park realize that we run this company and they don't, we are spinning our wheels. They do the number crunching and wear the good clothes, we perform the labor and daily tasks with our blue jeans, we are the "grunts", but without the grunts YRCW would be a dead duck also. As long as we fight among ourselves, we will never get anywhere. Maybe a New Year's resolution is needed here, We Shall Overcome!
Yellow good, roadway bad.

Its really funny you start out by saying there are a bunch of knuckleheads from both companies who will not let things go like your above conduct like that& then proceed to start bashing away at Yellow!!! WTF man? There is nothing wrong with being proud of your former company I guess. While your being proud of the former company I like to call Comodeway, you should be proud of the upper managements decision to sell you out. What a nice group of people! Kinda reminds me of my days at CF. Last thing I told those idiots when I cleaned out my locker under guard escort was ( You never broke me & you never will.) Oh, I am a former employee of Yellow lest I forget & get accused of something. I did my job to the best of my ability. But to come on here & defend any of these companies to me is ridiculous.Good luck with that Al. Comodeway (Roadway Corp.) was obligated to their shareholders to accept the offer that Yellow Corp. made to buy them. Its really funny you start out by saying there are a bunch of knuckleheads from both companies who will not let things go like your above conduct like that& then proceed to start bashing away at Yellow!!! My main point is NONE of these companies have your best interest in mind when making their decisions. Maybe if they did maybe they would not be in the shape they are in!
This is never going to end as long as there are one person from each place left. Hope it lasts long enough for for that to happen.Good luck with that Al. I don't know what fantasy world you're living in, but companies exist to make a profit on what they produce or on what services they provide. They don't exist to please or pander to their employees. Just a fact of life.
I don't believe that pride in your heritage is inherently wrong. It is the misplaced anger and frustration. The problems do not begin OR end with YRC. The culture that was pervasive at YRCW while $bill was CEO is the root cause of most of it.This is never going to end as long as there are one person from each place left. Hope it lasts long enough for for that to happen.
