Let's hear from those who have been operating with this camera. Are they OK, or trouble? Has anyone been called in for review because the camera triggered "events"? Let's hear the facts; no BS please!
Please explain, since the camera's in-facing lens is disabled.I myself have not been called in, my camera gets triggered almost every day, due to the oil-field lease roads I drive on. I have been told some drivers have have gotten write-up for excessive speeds on lease roads. We have lost some good drives 'cause the camera caught them smoking in the trucks.
It looks like a good place to put my Chiquita banana stickers. The inward facing lens are disabled and covered up with in some cases multiple stickers.
That is my understanding as well. Just so you know, per agreement with the Teamsters, the inward-facing lens on the YRC units is disabled. I understand that means DISABLED, not just covered up.Nope, never have been employed by any YRC entity, this more of a FMCSA and D.O.T. issue than a company specific issue, thus as long as I behave myself, as Jeff say's all forums are open to everyone.
They really haven't, but there are a whole bunch of us who wish they would! If you don't smoke, that stench is really difficult to endure.Since when have they enforced no smoking in trucks ??? Holland lets smoking in trucks !!

Yes....but you should have stated you do not work at YRC, as ALL YRC drivers know the inward lense of the dash cams ARE deactivated per IBT/YRC agreement......you speak of oil routes which would make us all think you are driving for an oil drilling company around Odessa, TX.....I could see them issuing discipline for smoking in a truck in the oil fields.....yes you are welcomed here, but letting others know you do not work for YRC would be helpful, and less confusing....KKNope, never have been employed by any YRC entity, this more of a FMCSA and D.O.T. issue than a company specific issue, thus as long as I behave myself, as Jeff say's all forums are open to everyone.
good one, bro!If we look towards the west at night and we see this huge fireball. Then we will know you were smoking in the cab of your truck lazer.POOF!
Huge Fireball? Well, if he would leave his suitcase nuke back @ the terminal, he might miss out on the 'Fire Ball' event. But on the flip side don't forget to use proper Placards when leaving the yard with said fire ball device. von.If we look towards the west at night and we see this huge fireball. Then we will know you were smoking in the cab of your truck lazer.POOF!
I am making it official. I am a retired city ABF driver out of Indy. I do hope this resolves the issue of who I am & where I worked.von.Yes....but you should have stated you do not work at YRC, as ALL YRC drivers know the inward lense of the dash cams ARE deactivated per IBT/YRC agreement......you speak of oil routes which would make us all think you are driving for an oil drilling company around Odessa, TX.....I could see them issuing discipline for smoking in a truck in the oil fields.....yes you are welcomed here, but letting others know you do not work for YRC would be helpful, and less confusing....KK
