As everyone knows by now it has passed.....let me give you some quick numbers.......YRC yes votes: 12,923....no votes: 9153...New Penn yes votes: 463....no votes: 726......YRC ratified by a margin of 58.5 %. By region: central: +527....eastern:+194....southern: +1484.....western: +710. I WILL NOT break it down by locals....if you want to know your local, PM me.....the count went up and down all day and was very, very close......you don't really know how close 58% is until you see the stacks of yes and no ballots....it definitely could have gone either way.

For all the doubters, and "it's a done dealers".....it wasn't over till it was over. Please understand we could not post any info right away, due to the possible implications....IBT officials knew who we were, and we were TB members....so they monitored this sight all day, until their official press release.....we promised to hold off from posting.....It was a very interesting experience, and I can tell you all firsthand, HAD THIS NOT PASSED, they would have closed the doors as early as next week.....bancruptcy papers had already been filed and they were waiting for the outcome from this....gotta go have dinner, I'll post more later......G-Man

Lived to fight another day!

:shift:We all lived to fight for future wages and benefits. This keeps us in the game so later we will fight tooth and nail for much better wages and benefits! When the company is doing good we all will get our day!!!!

New penn did this today with their no vote.

I think because the vote was close it send a message to the company that this was the last cut! I truly hope I get lettered back to work sometime this year or in the next 12 months. In the mean time I most likely drive for an OO.:shift:

#'s of YES and NO Don't Equal 27,000?

Is it just me, or were there that many disqualified ballots.

I'm very disappointed in the RESULTS and am sure this is only a temporary SOLUTION. By what the Intl posted, there are still stipulations to try and make this work. I will NOT be happy if NEW PENN and the CHICAGO Locals who VOTED NO get their full pay. I VOTED NO and still think it was the right thing to do!

I wonder how many disqualified votes were no votes? I wonder how many were guys that simply forgot their withdrawl card? It makes you wonder what the vote would look like in another couple weeks when everyone got their replaced ballots?

Hey...I voted no.I'm in the southern region.as far as closing the doors next week is concerned.yeah it could happen anyway.I believe bankruptcy isn't terrible.matter of fact I think the union could do hellva lot better running it ourselves.the bankruptcy judge doesn't want our pensions to be taken care of by the govt.the federal judge is the last wall of defense.yrc would most likely be denied bankruptcy.

i voted no ,and i think everyone else should have also.
i can't take the suspence any longer.
shut her down .quit threatening!!

There is still a chance that we can get back our pay cuts.that will have to be determined by how quickly the economy can bounce back and how well yrc operates.its not all doom and gloom.economists have seen signs of a turnaround.freight volumes have picked up from 12percent a year ago to a modest gain of 33% this year.as yrc grows and our stock options get better then maybe in the nearfuture we might be able to cash them in.be patient...

The perpetual losers took it up the ole rectal again. It must suck to always be on the wrong side. Thanks to all of you who have the courage to suck it up and move forward. Oh that's right, almost none of them post here.

I think we all took it my friend. And I think it sucks for both sides. But rubbing noses in it accomplishes nothing! Then again why should I expect any different.
