got a question for you guys at holland. have you taken delivery of any new volvo;s at holland since the begining of the year? if so, have they been put into service yet?

New Volvo' sitting at a lot of barns waiting to be put into service. Since dollar bill bought his new Panoz sports car there isn't enough money in the checking account for plates or permits.

New Volvo

In GY we have 1 new Volvo that was delivered about a month ago. We were told it was not going to be prepped or used until corp. said so. They wanted no miles on it. That is what mngt. told us if you can beleive anything they say.:smilie_132:

If I remember correctly April 1rst is when the registration YEAR starts in many states.
They might be waiting on that .

heard npme new tractors arrived also and are parked and batteries removed. they wont act for bailout money. then if obamma has his way billy z would make no more then 550k a year.

any guys from buffalo terminal here? though you had a couple new vovol twin screws sitting around there not being used- could still see plastic covering the seats when driveing by- get into npme terminal several times a week. looked like last night they had the 3 hooked up to run. anybody can confirm this?our 50 new ones still sitting behind our scranton terminal, mostly forgotten about.

Got two new volvos at the Allentown, PA barn last month. Now just last week, they were taken away from us and they were sent out to Yellow at the Carlie, PA barn for Yellow to use because they were short on equipment. Gone that quick.

all the new tractors that were in Atlanta and Joliet were taken from them and sent to Yellow. word is all new tractors are being taken from Holland and given to Yellow.

We have a dozen or more city trucks ( 19000's and other series decommissioned to the city) parked. Some are against the fence others are scattered about the yard... but the senior city guys still take out the newer Volvo's.:sumo: :tongue They can have them... I would rather drive the international's...the only thing is , us bottom feeders only get to drive the old stuff:horse:...when and IF we are called in. We are told the old stuff has to be used first... but not all of the old stuff is used, certain people have to have new.

We do not have any brand new trucks parked here though, like you guys do... just old stuff!!

The NEW Volvo we had here was taken by YRC yesterday!

We were told that our Volvo that has sat here for well over a month, was shipped down to "the Yellow [YRC] terminal in Detroit". The guy that came to pick it up said that this was the 10th Volvo that he has picked up in Michigan and delivered to the Yellow [YRC] terminal in Detroit.
Things that make ya go HMMMMMMM!:duh:

If he made 10 trips to the YRC terminal in Detroit I am sure he won't get lost taking the rest of the trucks in there.:smilie_132:
