woke up to this email this morning....
UPS WRONG IN KANSAS CITY
Soon the NLRB will announce that UPS was guilty of five charges in the
Kansas City election. This will cause another election at the UPS Freight
terminal in Kansas City . Hopefully UPS will run a fair campaign this time;
you can bet that the APWA will, as always, run a clean campaign.
The only question in this situation is how UPS will handle their choices
in this action. It is the APWA’s understanding that the UPS attorney has
recommended that the company take the short road. UPS has two choices;
first they could accept the terms the APWA has offered. If UPS accepts the
terms they will have to make a posting in their terminal stating the violations
they made for 60 days and then there would be an election 30 days after the
posting comes down. If UPS fails to accept this offer then the NLRB will take
UPS before an administrative law judge. It will take longer to get another
election this way but it will cost UPS thousands of dollars in attorney fees.
You can bet that UPS will again use Mike M**** in the next campaign.
Mike M**** has lied to you in the first election which in part is why we are
getting another election. Mr. M****stood before a forced audience in
Pittsburgh and just plain lied to these people when there was a poster in the
back of the same room that proved that he was lying. When a person will do
this, they lie for the sake of lying. In other words, people like this would
rather climb a telephone and tell a lie rather than to stand on the ground and
tell the truth. All freight people need to beware of what Mike M**** says.
