RazorbladeSad, the last post here is 8 years old. I had 25 years at Preston. I started in Dubois (120) in 1974. From there to West Middlesex (125) until it closed in 1997. Finished the last 2 years in Pittsburgh (107). None of us realized how good Preston treated us until we had to move on to another company. I was a steward at all three of those terminals and we never had any major problems. I was one of the lucky ones and went straight to Yellow in Richfield from Preston and never missed a days work. It was quite a shock going from 25 years and 5 weeks vacation to bottom of the pile and on call. The Yellow road dispatch system, at the time, was a good one. After about a year, I was able to work pretty much when I wanted and go where I wanted. Western Pa. just cut my pension by 30% but life is still good. I retired in 2004 with 30 years. We bought a condo on the lake in 2015 and now just do the old people stuff. I'm thinking I wrote this for therapy and nobody will ever read it. It's hard to believe it's been 28 years since I drove 20173. My last trip was a Baltimore turn out of Pittsburgh along with Walt Marzolf.
