Liberty, I think they are the ones that hire people to stand outside dressed like a Statue of Liberty and wave at cars?

Do we have any cpa's within truckingboards that can verify that YRC has been taxing employees each week at the 100 % rate, even though they are actually earning 85 %. If this is true, then they have been taking too much taxes out each week. There has to be a simple way to check this out by taking a money figure at 100 %, and then 85 %, and see if this is true. If this is the case, have we been getting over taxed for the last three years ? If so, can we amend our last three tax years to show a loss ?

YRCW doesn't "tax" employees. YRCW holds back some of your gross pay and forwards it to the IRS as "withholding". When you file your tax return every year the total "withheld" serves as credit for the tax you owe for that year. The amount withheld is somewhat adjustable by you every year by filling out a new W-4.

Simplified....

It does not matter how much/little federal and state income tax was withheld from your check. When you file your taxes you will pay taxes based on your taxable income. If they withheld "too much" you get a refund. If they didn't withhold "enough" you owe.

Look at the name on my check, Where do you think my TB name comes from.

Here is a interesting development going on at my terminal. Currently several PND drivers are now being audited by the IRS regarding this 15% "deduction". One driver has been told he owes thousands plus penalties. It also looks like the IRS is going after YRC employees as this appears to be "low hanging fruit" this also may be why they are no longer showing the 15% on our check stubs
