Yup his name is newton
hes a good guy.
Thats what my tm said...guess they worked togethere at apa yrs ago
that was a long time ago. Just do your job and he wont bother you. You wont have to look over you shoulder with him.
If Newton is the regional VP, you will not be dealing with him. A terminal will have a local supervisor running the day to day operation. He will report to a Terminal Manager, who may be over multiple terminals, and who may have his main office at your terminal. If there is any trouble, it will come from the supervisor or the terminal manager. Freightgod54 is right, just do your job and let the others do their's, you'll be fine.
he will probably be based out of Garry Rd. He spent most of his time at the New Penn terminal there. he lives close by.
Going to be based out of harrisburg
if you know that fact, know where hbg. terminal is going to be?? are you saying newton is in charge of the northeast expansion?
This is just my opinion but if Newton is the regional manager, He probably is hands off but certainly in the e-mail loop, with the finding and the acquisition of terminals, the linehaul service plan for the area, the plan for the accumulation of equipment, and the plan for hiring personnel, that are in other divisions such as sales, safety, human resources, and equipment maintenance. I would think that he is the guy that is going to have a strong voice in the hiring of his management team of terminal managers.
Sounds right. hes also not in it for the long haul. hes up in age and hes not really very energenic type
Thats what they told us in our quartley meeting
from a supervisor point of view, hes on your side. If youre a driver or dockman, hes not a social type. But hes fair.
Newton use 2 b a driver back in the day
This is the old Shanahans Express terminal. NRT was in there and it has been vacant easily for 5 yrs!
Terminal space as mentioned above is at a premium in PHL metro area. Only other terminal avail might be Carolinas old building on Deer Rd and JJ Maloneys building but that is too small!
Aqua Gulf may be in there though . Good luck finding drivers!
I guess it is time to start to start reestablishing the PRESTON SUPER REGION again?
when are the new terminals going to open ?
Five a yr for the next 4 to 5 yrs starting in april
I have a friend in Harrisburg who may be looking for a job. Any idea has to when the new terminals may start filling positions and when they may be listed?
