I call this A-Hole Season. Always in the way and too slow. And can’t drive the damned things either!
Great video ..... it should be played at time of purchase ....
As I'm sure you know, start looking at the states that don't tax your pension or Social Security. It is just me, my wife, & my medium size female German Shepherd.
Also my wife has a small mix-breed.
So I think a 25 Or 26 foot 5th wheel would be fine for my 1/2 ton GMC.
However now I'm leaning toward a small class c motor home.
My wife really would like to get out of the North before the snow flys this year.
She doesn't care how we do it,so I think we have a few months to figure it out before this next winter.
or medical bills or funery expenses...They go slow for several reasons. .. I have one.... here are my reasons.
1. Tires are rated for speeds up to 65. If you go faster you will be investing in more new tires.
That's been my question for decades when I'm getting passed at 65+ by RV's (with 1-3 trailers) and 4-6 wheel trucks with (1-3) trailers.2. I'm on vacation. .. what's the hurry.
Apparently Rich or Poor means nothing to many travellers.3. It's a big investment. I'm not rich.
Gotta HURRY UP to "that spot". "Are We There Yet?"4. Did I say I'm on vacation.
It'll settle.5. Don't want to shake up the beer.
Lol
Always in the way and too slow
That's what they used to say about the "Big R" drivers back in the day....
Don't think you ran with the same Big Rs I did.
When I drove for Big R, the trucks were turned down to run 57 mphs..... When I retired, they would run at 62...... Of course there were always the few that would be slower or some a bit faster....
The phrase "on the road, in the way" was frequently directed at us..... Lol..... Ohhhh the good old days....
I started in early 84 in Chicago..... Chicago to Memphis was a long long trip.... LolThis was before 90, those longnose Roadbosses /8v71s blew our doors off when we ran 65.
I started in early 84 in Chicago..... Chicago to Memphis was a long long trip.... Lol
I was worn out by then, 84 was my 29th yr.
You are an "old timer" then.... lol...
Before my time, Big R was said to be faster than most.......
I wasn't quite 25 when I started..... Retired 25 years later with 28 Years in the teamsters.... No regrets.
