The NTSB will recommend to the Feds to give Musk another 4-5 billion to design autonomous fire trucks, so it would have moved by itself to avoid the impact.I wonder what the excuse will be this time?

That same thing happened to Big Dave, when he heard one of his dispatch's ended up on the boardwalk. "Wobbled, and fell over."Self-Driving Car Crash Highlights Tricky Legal Question

"The police report, said Lemberg, actually supported holding GM responsible. It noted that after the Bolt determined it couldn’t make the lane change, and began moving back while Nilsson was passing on the right, the Bolt’s backup driver tried to grab the wheel and steer away, but the collision occurred simultaneously.
“Why don’t these folks just take some responsibility?” Lemberg said.
A crash report filed with the California Department of Motor Vehicles by GM provided a much different view of the accident. The company acknowledged that the car, in autonomous-driving mode in heavy traffic, had aborted a lane change. But GM said that as its car was “re-centering itself” in the lane, Nilsson, who had been riding between two lanes in a legal-in-California practice known as lane-splitting, “moved into the center lane, glanced the side of the Cruise … wobbled, and fell over.”"
Pffft...I may wobble...but I don't fall down..That same thing happened to Big Dave, when he heard one of his dispatch's ended up on the boardwalk. "Wobbled, and fell over."
So now, people who are out and about anyway, can sit at home on their lazy rear end and have some person who looks like the pictures on America's Most Wanted, pull up to their house in their SUV,with a Uber sticker on the door, oops,I mean Amazon Independent Contractor, and bring you a case of bottled water? Or another small item? In an hour... Not saying Amazon is bad, just that in many cases, people are too lazy, or just spend way too much time on their I pad....Amazon Expands Delivery Trial That Could Hurt FedEx, UPS

"The trial pushes Amazon’s logistical reach beyond its own facilities and into those of its merchants, encroaching on services of long-time delivery partners UPS Inc. and FedEx Corp. Amazon is enticing the sellers who use the company’s online marketplace with lower delivery costs, logistics software, warehouse inspections and recommendations."

I tend to agree with CRST on this one. "Driver" was said to be a trainee...
Pay raise with the usual strings attached. Wow! 38-50 cents per mile... depending on experience of course. So I am guessing the majority of their company drivers, may, earn 40 cents a mile because most are probably falling into the ,less experience class. And the contractors, and lease purchase guys going all the way to 95 a mile plus FSC? But only when loaded... A dollar a mile was decent money for a truck owner back in the seventies. I am sure their web site will be flooded with applications today....And I love the part where their CEO says he,"wants to provide them with the top tier income they deserve."KLLM increases pay for company drivers, contractors

""This represents the largest pay increase in KLLM's 53-year history," said Jim Richards, president and CEO. "Our driving force is the most important asset we have, and we want to provide them with the top-tier income that they deserve. We have stronger requirements for our drivers, so we want our pay to be at the top, too."
"We also hope that offering a higher income will help us to continue to grow our driver force. Freight is very strong right now and we need additional drivers to handle our freight requirements," Richards added."

No wonder drivers are envious of Coop Dispatch, plus we have a pet ride along program.
Last trip Von borrowed a goat from Ump,he ate half our recliner, don't know if this program will last when Dave sees the gray hotel.
No need for me to cancel the order on my new Tesla now! happy days are here at last!
Geez, put my application in now...under a fake name, or Big Dave won't hire me...because my propeller hat rivals his cowboy hat in size and the lift from the propeller would blow his hat down the road. Just sayin'....
