When you have a nation and want your nation to benefit the nation, not just a free with global aspirations, and you regulate to benefit your nations citizens, or your locality or states citizens...it is not socialism.
It is nationalism imo.

And every climbing country does it.
And every nation in decline gets rid of it.
And that is exactly what has happened.

No offense to retirees, but you think its ok that current participants keep paying in (through their labor), then retire and get nothing, while retirees collect until the fund goes dry? The main reason the funds were in the trouble they were in is because the government would not let funds be over 100% funded.....If they did, they may not be in any trouble...our jobs are paying for pensions, the government is basically paying for orphans...

Perfect storm, Dereg, companies close, can't be 100% plus funded, 2007-2008 stock market,yrc partial payment, more collecting than working.
