I have been working for FedEx Freight for 14 yrs. as a Road Driver In WOR. Lets look at what the Union promises

Better Health Care: Only if it is agreed upon in contract.
Better Retirement: Only if it is agreed upon in contract. Father in law just had pension cut by Union because its underfunded worked 32yrs
Better Pay: Ask YRC and ABF how their pay is. Been cut Union has agreed to concessions. The shortage of drivers will drive our future pay rates rather than the Union.
Union Protection: Fedex with have it written in the contract that they will have the right to put profitability above everything else. That means you can still get fired for getting into accidents, damaging equipment on company property.
The Union will agree to this provision in order to collect dues.

Overnight voted to go Union years ago and never agreed on a contract. Once you vote the Union in it is not easy to get them out. You vote the way you want,Thats your decision. Just don't ***** when you don't get what you want. In the meantime I will continue to collect a damn good paycheck every Friday and as long as I am a safe driver I will be satisfied.

The union hasnt promised anything. There has been NO negotiations. Base your future posts on actual events and facts. Nice first post. Looks like you just got out of Freds school of union busting.

He obviously hasn't been to any union meetings, as the only thing we've been promised in KCY is to negotiate the terms that we, as employees, see fit. Period.

I know there hasn't been any negoiations. But if the Union was so great why are there only 3 Union carriers left? You do what you want but the Union will always put the Union first not the members and thats a fact again ask ABF and YRC drivers.

I'm sure the very drivers you're speaking of will be along here shortly, to set you straight.

Hey brother the Teamsters never promises or guarantee's your contract, how ever you the form union members (the employees) create your contract, along with the Teamsters and their lawyers.
The elected or chosen employees sit at the bargaining tables spelling their contract, once it's been created, the Teamsters and the lawyers present the proposal that's been assemble by the union members (employees)
Once the company and their lawyers revise the proposal and if agreed, then the chosen members presented to the rest of the members to see if it's agree and voted by the union the employees!
If not agreed and not voted, then back to the bargaining tables until the union members come's to an agreement and voted by the union members , the employees!
You see no promises here, but a well spell out contract by You, the employee as a union member!

Also you vote your fiduciary on how you want your pension to be handle.

abf never took concessions on top of that we will not be never mind will not say will not give you info. cause the way I c it your either a red shirt or a snitch get lost loser

And what makes fedex any different ... I work at ABF I'm at $23.17 & I pay nothing toward health care which is top of the line & also have a pension....

Wow, all these months of debate and finally someone comes along with a new thread, the thread of all threads that will change yes voters into no voters, will keep no voters in the no camp.....and wins over those on the fence! Here it is!

Brother there's more union carriers!
You're just forgetting to mentioning the smaller carriers that are unionize through out the U.S continent, if you add all those companies, then they are part of the unionize carriers too.

Fred Smith is an amazing person he was a United States Marine he started a company that created a market that did not exist , he created opportunities for hundreds of thousands of people to support their families around the world .Anyone that works for any Fedex company should understand how fortunate they are. Thanks for letting me share my opinion.

I really think y'all are wasting y'all time with explaining it to him. I really think that he's a red shirt fraud to be a Road Driver......I just sense something

Why does everyone one mention yrc and abf? Their master Freight, completely different animal, than.what's going on here.
