HESPERIA • A truck driver was killed Wednesday morning after a vehicle lost control and veered into the path of the tractor trailer along northbound Interstate 15 just south of Oak Hill Road, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Authorities shut down three northbound lanes for a little over two hours as officials investigated the deadly crash, Officer Hope Maxon of the CHP Inland Division said.

The incident happened just before 7 a.m. when a red Nissan 350 Z traveling north in the No. 2 lane at a high rate of speed lost control for unknown reasons and veered into the path of the big rig, Maxon said. The truck driver — who was pulling a set of double trailers for UPS — tried to avoid the collision but ended up rolling over and tumbling down the embankment behind the Summit Inn, according to CHP officials.

The driver of the Nissan remain at the scene and was cooperating with CHP investigators....................

I am really sorry to see another trucker lose his life because of someone else's error in judgment.
"May God grant peace to all of his loved ones,co-workers and anyone else that knew him,in Jesus name I pray,Amen"

I guess the moral of the story is that when driving doubles, don't try to avoid hitting a car or small truck. Just hit the brakes and hold the steering wheel tight and keep going straight as you hit the small vehicle.

Actually when Driving pulling ANY Trailer or Combination.
4 wheelers have been PUSHED down roads and they can continue to be PUSHED or SHOVED when their drivers are careless as in this article/event/incident/DEATH.
The 4 wheeler driver is RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF THE TRUCK DRIVER and needs be CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER.

WHEN ANY Truck Driver causes the death of a 4 wheeler driver, WE WELL KNOW there are lawsuits and all sorts of whining.
It may be a penniless result from a lawsuit but that 4 wheeler driver needs NOT BE DRIVING EVER AGAIN, once (if ever) out of prison.

Totally agree with Cerberus....We all think that way ...but when confronted with that situation...the Professional rises up in us and we try to miss the idiot coming at us....That 4 wheeler driver should lose his license and do somwe jail time...Hope the trucker's family gets a good settlement
