XPO | YRC Holland very close to closing the doors

Hater!!!!! Have u guys ck on how good conway did the last quarter.before u talk about

i spoke with several conway employees that had no idea how close yrcw and subsidiaries are to actually closing the doors for good.

Looks like the majority voted yes from all the sites i've viewed today so they'll be around until the next go round if it's indeed a yes. The president of the company said there was no backup and sent out a letter to employees including holland explaining that if this weekends vote fails to pass, the company has no plans to make any other offers or attempts to restructure the company debt and warned that holland will go down with yrc.

This contract is through 2019, pension contributions will be 75% below 2010 levels, part time non-cdl employees get a higher top out (no longer frozen) , full time employees get no raise for the 1st 2 years but will get a one time bonus that equals less than $800 in place of the 2 years worth of hourly raises. The 3rd year could get a raise but offset by wage cuts already agreed to (15% wage reduction). Up to 6% of roadwork sub-contracted out.
here's a link yrc has nothing more to offer workers if weekend's ratification vote fails, unit ceo says – dc velocity

it looks like it was a yes so hopefully everyone gets to keep their job and things work out for the best.
you guys need to keep up with conway not doing to good in the m-town.

You can make $90 per hour. If they deduct $75 per hour for benefits and dont pay overtime you dont take home much now do you?
22.00 wk. for benefits is all I pay. But yeah, i get the point. That is about 1.18% of what i'm able to gross..it's really not an issue. it is what it is. Go back to bashing OD, that's more entertaining.

For $22.00 a week your not getting many benefits.

company paid hra...it rolls over..it's a good benefit. no co-pays. works for my situation..but thank you for your advice.lol

I gotta say that health insurance benefits was a place Con-way did a good job. I was never dissatisfied with my insurance or what I paid for it. I do wish they wouldn't have had the $30/week surcharge for spouse, but other than that the fund plan always did me fine.

Yeah the $30 surcharge is absolutely asinine. It doesn't cost them any more money if my wife does or doesn't have a job. I just tell my wife to always find a job that doesn't offer health insurance, or keep her hours part time so she's not eligible for their insurance.
