really? .. i just love when people make negative comments and are just not happy about life and live in there own misery. i understand nothing is guarenteed just like your job but i dont see fedex EVER doing that unless of course you vote for bernie or anyoneone else on that side of the fence cause we will pay for everyones free healthcare, college education, house, job etc. Since when has fedex as a whole not paid out what they say they would, GEEEEZ!Don;t bank on a pension that can be taken away at any time.
Explain the logic behind that statementDon;t bank on a pension that can be taken away at any time.

read the fine print, no anger, no discontent here, just stating facts and saying I wouldn't count on a pension that could possibly not be there. don't read more into what is writtenExplain the logic behind that statement
logic is, read the fine print. the company stops contributing when you turn 65 and the pension can be dissolved by the company at any time.Explain the logic behind that statement
There will be no logic on these sites just a lot of political views and anger. Thank youlogic is, read the fine print. the company stops contributing when you turn 65 and the pension can be dissolved by the company at any time.
Mine say 102k so your far better off than me. 5 years at fedex with 18 to go.Ah that's cool. Mines projected to be 384k ish. I'm skeptical but that's what it says. I only have 10 yrs in and I'm not 40 yet
I am an ole Fedex Express driver where the portable pension origin. After I departed following roughly close to 10 years service in 2007,I am still trying to get an update. I didn't move it ,just to allow it to develop interest. I am presently with a LTL carrier & have accumilated nearly $8000 in a years time in my 401. There was a time that I thought the portable pension was great but since have reconsidered the bigger picture. N.O.T.T. is my final answerNot to play devils advocate here, but not many companies even offer a pension anymore. 18,000 way is better than zero and u didn't have to add anything to get it. You want a good retirement? Then you should have been maxing out the 401 and counting on compound interest.
Show us where it says they can dissolve it. It does give the company the option of stopping contributions if in financial distress.logic is, read the fine print. the company stops contributing when you turn 65 and the pension can be dissolved by the company at any time.
Have a link where it says they stop contributing at 65? I can't find a reference.logic is, read the fine print. the company stops contributing when you turn 65 and the pension can be dissolved by the company at any time.
