Then this nonsense...

Drivers push for 30-minute break flexibility in first hours of service listening session

https://www.ccjdigital.com/drivers-...3c973&utm_term=newsletter-2-daily-position-1#

"Wouldn’t it be better if [drivers] stopped for three 10-minute breaks?"

NO.

Probably getting pressure from the mega truckload carriers, so they have time to plan on how they will lie to prospective drivers on all the benefits this revision will have for them, while the truck owners use it to their advantage to not pay the driver for, actual,on duty, not driving time, now called , off duty wasting the drivers time.

"The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s annual Brake Safety Week is scheduled for Sept. 15-22 with a focus on brake hoses and tubing.

Throughout that week, inspectors will be conducting roadside inspections and keying in on brake violations."

"Out-of-adjustment brakes and other brake system violations represented 45 percent of all out-of-service vehicle violations during 2018’s International Roadcheck. During last year’s Brake Safety Week, law enforcement conducted more than 35,000 inspections and placed nearly 5,000 of those out-of-service."

Ocean Spray Partners With Uber Freight to Help Streamline Its Supply Chain

They should put in the article, Ocean Spray is using Uber to basically create a,Shipping Wars type scenario where carriers in areas where they have freight, bid on it, against one another. It’s the same old thing. Preying on carriers who will take a load paying peanuts because it is close to where their empty truck is at, as opposed to empty miles to pick up a profitable load..

Almost. Not always though.... But you know when someone is sitting within an hour or less of a backhaul, they will take that $1.40 a mile load to get out of there. Uber and the shippers know that too...
