Man, I hope you are not in leadership. Talk about deflection, all over the board. Changing topic, raising the bar. Putting words in one's mouth, then expecting an explanation based on your new narrative. Makes for a frustrating conversation.Soo...you still don’t have any substantial evidence linking a good guy with a gun is preventing crime on a mass scale? Just or two stories and some anecdotal stories?
Do you honestly believe that education, access to health care, and poverty have no influence on crime? A good guy with a gun would stop it though!! Nice logic. We need to shift our focus people.
Your graph had El Salvador and Honduras as BAD countries!!
El Salvador is ranked 49th worst country for poverty. Ranked 114th worst in education.
Honduras is ranked 65th worst in poverty and 166th worst in education. Out of 175 countries! Geez, I wonder why these people want to flee.
Your graph shows Finland and Sweden as good countries!!! Let’s take a look:
Finland and Switzerland are in the top 20 with least amount of poverty. Finland is second best country with education. Second best in the world! Sweden is 15th best in education.
Should we even talk about healthcare??? Remember Finland and Sweden have least amount of poverty and they are the top educated countries...which happen to have socialized health care as well.
Your lovely graph some how skipped over these important facts.
I bet you have a lot of issues.I’ve got no issue.
You are delusional if you think any of the organizations named are unbiased. Have you ever read an article in the Journal of Medicine that was in any way favorable towards guns? Also what in the world would the Center for Disease Control even have to do with guns? Hello, they study DISEASES. As to the FBI, when have they ever put out anything that was pro gun. Face it bias exists for any group you or anyone else might name. Most everyone has an agenda or point of view on the subject. I will remain a law abiding CC holder and hope I never need to use my legal right to do so. You go ahead and depend on running and hiding or the police to finally arrive. Lots of dead people made the same choice as you.Cool quick google search, bro!
Heck, I could perform a google search and probably pull numerous pages on a gun owner hurting someone else. Lol.
I want to see actual data from the FBI, CDC, Journal of Medicine, or anywhere unbiased that provides EVIDENCE on a mass level a good guy with a gun is preventing crime or stopping a bad guy with a gun.
AND...What is the difference between a good guy stopping a bad gun with a gun and a good guy with a gun stopping crime? Crime is crime right? Isn’t that the point of carrying all the time? For protection? Make you feel safe?
I am not deflecting anything. I’m calling out your BS gun propaganda charts. They claimed the gun was the main reason for low crime in those countries when in reality it is education, low poverty, and access to health care.
If it makes you feel safer though, go ahead and keep carrying, boys - oh, I mean men (deep voice) Lol. I’ve got no issue.
I will leave it at this and move on. I originally did not want to deflect this thread.
We need to get to the root cause of violence in America. Popping up our chest and telling everyone to carry is not the solution. Not the solution.
Focus must be placed immediately on education, reducing poverty, social media effects on people, and access to a premium socialized universal medicine for every American (ID providing) citizen. ((You saw that didn’t you?))
In closing,
I will continue to question the NRA and gun propaganda, and I hope you do to.

And we did that. We showed 10 (all from July) before stopping due to constraints of time. Not because we ran out of July cases.I am saying it doesn’t exist. You claim it exist. Prove it.

None of what you just said has any bearing on gun crime in the United States. Canada has socialized healthcare, yet people get shot and stabbed in Toronto all the time. Montreal has become the Canadian city with the highest number of rapes annually.Soo...you still don’t have any substantial evidence linking a good guy with a gun is preventing crime on a mass scale? Apparently you must be a product of an antiquated education system. You know, when they taught HOW to think, rather than indoctrination into exactly WHAT to think.None of what you just said has any bearing on gun crime in the United States. Canada has socialized healthcare, yet people get shot and stabbed in Toronto all the time. Montreal has become the Canadian city with the highest number of rapes annually.
In Sweden, there are places UPS will not deliver to because the crime is so high. Stabbings got so bad in England that they prohibited unregistered knife ownership; the number of stabbings went up in response. In comparison, Switzerland has considerably fewer gun restrictions.
In Mexico, they blanket banned private ownership of firearms. Violent gun crime with illegally obtained firearms got so out of control that a friend of mine tells me there are places where everyone has an illegal gun just to protect themselves from the criminals.
Poverty does have an effect on the prominence of petty crime. But that doesn't change the fact that a would-be thief is going to be considerably less willing to attempt to rob someone if there's a chance he could be shot for his trouble. An excellent question would be why the cities with the largest populations of poor and homeless have both the strictest firearms restrictions and the highest crime rates. Not to get too political, but Democrats have perpetually run Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City for decades and they all have the biggest wealth inequalities, highest crime rates and strictest firearms restrictions in the country. Maybe it's a big coincidence, but the statistics don't lie.

Gun propaganda?! Why is there even a discussion about this? You either value and respect the constitution or you don’t. Gun ownership isn’t for the sole purpose of protecting ones family. The founders included that amendment to protect from a tyrannical and oppressive government. Do you know why we aren’t still ruled by Britain? Superior firepower. The guns the colonists used had a longer range and more accuracy than the redcoats. The founders feared another oppressive government ( either internal or external) ruling us and so provisioned every citizen with right to own and bear arms. To change this you libs are going to have to change the constitution.I will leave it at this and move on. I originally did not want to deflect this thread.

Lots of wisdom right there. Too much to get into right now, but lack of respect, lack of consequences, and lack of personal responsibility all contribute. It all comes down to education (or lack thereof), both at home and in schools.Gun propaganda?! Why is there even a discussion about this? You either value and respect the constitution or you don’t. The other argument that people use to demagogue gun ownership is “we have to do something about all these shootings”. I agree. What has changed in our society to cause people to have no respect for the value of human life? We never heard of this happening 50 years ago on the scale it is now. It is my opinion that as our culture becomes more godless we will see more senseless loss of life. Fathers have abdicated their God-given responsibility to train up their children To respect others and value their lives as you would your own. There are more aspects of this to explore, but I have work to do
