Man, you really do have a ONE TRACK mind.Really....I was responding to you, hell, you even underlined it for God’s sake....
Man, you really do have a ONE TRACK mind.
Actually Red, there were LOTS of results and effects of a disgruntled workforce... NOT just the Union effort. In fact things went down hill for a very long time before that. Were you oblivious to things, at that time?
I told Pat Reed about the "sad state of affairs" a good 2 YEARS before anyone filed a petition. 3 years later, he remembered it. Commended me for seeing it coming, when it was still fixable.
Moving on, this is not about me. It's about you reading all kinds of things into what is printed. For now, you need to work on that comprehension thing. Then, in DUE TIME, you can try reading between the lines.
It appears I wasn’t the only one who saw your remarks as you referring to the U...Man, you really do have a ONE TRACK mind.

well Swamp.. maybe it's time we show them what a disgruntled work force is like
We can always send a message if enough stick together.
Sorry to interrupt but I have real information about the actual thread. We are getting a 3.2% raise across the board. I don’t know the amount for the road drivers as of yet but working on it.
Where are you getting 1.032 from?If this is correct (note the qualifier), and actually across the board, then it's just a matter of simple math. Current rate X 1.032 = new rate.
Thanks for the info, by the way!
For reference, the current rate(s):
IF the 3.2 % holds true (that qualifier again) your number is about right for the lowest GPD locations, although it should actually be rounded up to 88 cents, unless they use some obscure rounding method. (.87776 raise, for a new rate of $28.30776).Where are you getting 1.032 from?
I'm getting an 87 cent raise for the bottom scale, going from $27.43 up to $28.30
When I first read Swamp’s post, I “liked” it because he was sharing information with the class (and his info usually spot on) but his numbers on the premium increases were alarming to me...and others according to their reactions/post...but instead of getting on TB and complaining, raising hell, and wanting to start an uprising, I tried to diffuse the situation and started asking questions and making phones calls hoping to get a better answer!!RED, I spoke to a friend who works out of the JAX terminal where they had benefits meetings last thursday and SWAMPRATT was spot on with his post of benefits cost increases. I know CLT has not had there meetings yet so instead of arguing why don't we all become teammates and figure out how to make it better for all of us.
We are in this together, some are closer to retirement than others but we all have to deal with the B S..
Are union cards the answer----I don't know we learned from the way you guys in CLT did things with that subject.
can we change it------YES but we have to be a unified unit weather we have a third party represent us or not.
We as drivers hold the cards. you can't move freight without us!! we need to play nice and give back what we get
just my 1.5 cents
Nope, you already cried wolf once. Are union cards the answer
You living in 1982?88 cents would be alright. How certain is this
I agree that its low. Think 2% everyone originally talked about lowered expectations. I think 5% would keep up with other ltls. You living in 1982?
You do realize that half of the raise is absorbed by the ins bump, yeah?
You're content to have waited a year, with 2% inflation, along with FxF having an awesome year, to get a $16 a WEEK raise?
Your ball washers like working weekendsGood day to all, I’m headed to the course. I hate playing weekends but it’s all about the money!!

Again, if true & across the board, it should be .97 (.96576) for the top GPD folks. Or a new rate of $31.15 (31.14576).
The 1 in front of the .032 (3.2%) includes the current rate in the calculation, giving us the new rate, with no further calculation required. Just a shortcut.
If the 3.2% is true, and my calculations are wrong, an expert will be along shortly. You'll see.
That's Not a rumor it's trueSaw a rumor that they are now going to charge us $150 a month if your spouse has insurance at her job and doesnt take it.
And they still got that Big Tax Break this year tooI agree and just think , we had to wait 18 months for it
Lots of companies policy is if your spouse works ft and can get benefits thru their job they won’t be covered period. No option to pay extra period. It’s 100% legal, came about under Obamacare. My old job did this. It's a real thing
This happened way before Obamacare. My old company was doing this at least 10 yrs ago.Lots of companies policy is if your spouse works ft and can get benefits thru their job they won’t be covered period. No option to pay extra period. It’s 100% legal, came about under Obamacare.
