pretty soon through drivers retiring and quitting ( and nobody applying ) everyone will have a new truckToday I saw a Holland trailer pulled by a Pete tandem with yellow decals on it. Are they putting that disgusting decal on all the Holland tractors?
give it timeAs long as the checks don't bounce, who cares?
those are to nice to be cane haulers. better suited for trash haulingFuture cane hauling trucks.
Them South of the border drivers are waiting for your worn out junk.
My point is,inevitably a lot of men will lose their jobs if they dovetail the boardsI probably lost my job before you.
When it was Ryder, Ryder T S C, Ryder Hoover, Ryder Harris, Ryder PIE, PIE Helms & Byrnes, who cared what name was on the door as long as your check was good.
Guess I'm missing your point.
With the severe shortage of workers currently why would anyone lose their job?My point is,inevitably a lot of men will lose their jobs if they dovetail the boards
The company I work for has old Macks, Volvo, Freightliner and Petes. All equipped similar. The Petes cost the least. And they are nothing specialAmazing how they can afford Peterbilts, but have no funds for FULL pension payments. I guess those fancy tractors keep the guys happy.
Yep, changes of operations are the same, just new faces on the board. My point is,inevitably a lot of men will lose their jobs if they dovetail the boards
I'm sure you've seen this in past years at PIE changes. With the severe shortage of workers currently why would anyone lose their job?
Dovetailed my location and we need to hire at least 30 and the number is growing by the week due to retirements and guys leaving for greener pastures. In the current freight environment and the shortage of drivers layoffs are not a concern. My point is,inevitably a lot of men will lose their jobs if they dovetail the boards
Yes, but in the past we never experienced across the board driver shortages as widespread as today. Where did you ever see Teamster companies offering multi-thousands of dollars as sign on bonuses?I'm sure you've seen this in past years at PIE changes.

Those stinky MBI boys down here in the south tend to prefer KWs, from what I've seen.those are to nice to be cane haulers. better suited for trash hauling
Never driven very many Petes or Volvos, longnose Freightshaker or Louisvilles are hard to beat for a freight truck.I was quite unimpressed when I had Pete's on occasion recently. I'll take a Volvo over a Pete any day.

Repo man
We should start a tow business. Tow our old broken down junk and repo the new equipment. Like uncle Slayton says he knows they’re slackers and they’ll miss a payment and he’ll take them back. The

The only thing the bottom men will have to worry about is working 6 days on the road board or working till midnight on the clean up shift...either way they will be making big bucks!Yep, changes of operations are the same, just new faces on the board.
If you are fortunate enough to be high on the board to not be affected or the bottom men are laid off or starved.
Better than not working. The only thing the bottom men will have to worry about is working 6 days on the road board or working till midnight on the clean up shift...either way they will be making big bucks!
Not so. Laid Off a week ago ! Same thing happened with the Roadway merger. If you don't have big time in you are pond scum .The only thing the bottom men will have to worry about is working 6 days on the road board or working till midnight on the clean up shift...either way they will be making big bucks!
