Because that's all he has.She won’t be turned away. Why are you creating what ifs? Trying to stir up people’s emotion to win an argument may work with lib news media but most people see past it

Here
Critical MRI's will never take that long, day or two at most. Non-critical MRI's may take longer because they are taking the critical cases first. If you have insurance or want to go outside the country you can get it faster. I had some issues a while back where they thought that possibly I was having seizures, although nothing anywhere showed any obvious signs that I was. I was in for an MRI in 3 days.
Because that's all he has.
You speaking from experience?May be this will explain
Yes, lots of it, and not just here. You speaking from experience?

All govt run healthcare plans runs on a budget and when that budgeted item is fill for the years you will just have to wait till next years budget comes out to see if you will get it done.
The is one big thing you are all forgetting that comes with any govt run healthcare like Canada's and England's. The one big thing Warren and Sanders are forget getting to tell you. They all use a formula called QALY (Quality-adjusted Life Years) when planning and picking who gets what surgeries/care and who doesn't. Some like Ruth Bader Ginsburg at her age of 86 would have not received any advance care for her latest cancer. Though in part That Ruth G is classified as the one being in the elite class she would get anything she needs. Were as you or anyone else would not.
I have never seen anyone wait 6 months for an mri, just to go to the back of another line.Next you'll tell me that there is no such thing as a wait with private insurance, lol.
Agree. Neither system works, both are underfunded and under staffed. Hard call. That's a tough one for me. I think they are both broken to be honest. They both have their advantages and disadvantages and I still think that some sort of middle ground between the two would be better. Which I think you guys are more on the path towards than we are.
My only reason for getting into this discussion is to dispell some of the myths that some of you guys have about our system that are not properly explained to you. Obviously by some people that have skin in the game. Neither system is as bad as people make you think and neither system is as good as people make you think.
So I'm not sure what the point is here. I've never seen anyone wait for an MRI that long either. But I have seen a bad sickness and the horrors of American healthcare reduce a wonderful young woman from Boston school teacher to bankruptcy and couch surfing until she died.I have never seen anyone wait 6 months for an mri, just to go to the back of another line.
Like I said, be careful what you wish for, you may get it.So I'm not sure what the point is here. I've never seen anyone wait for an MRI that long either. There probably is nowhere to go with this sort of conversation if it's just slinging horror stories and inadequacies back and forth.
To me the reality of the situation is that the US can do better, it has to do better, and a system based on private, for-profit insurance can not deliver that.
I'll likely bow out now because... hey, whatever, we aren't going to change each others minds.
So there’s merit to both . Best solution maybe a mix of the best attributes of both .Agree. Neither system works, both are underfunded and under staffed. Hard call.

Don’t want either one. For those systems to work individual choice must be greatly diminished or eliminated. When given the option I always choose the best dr or med facility. Won’t have that option with a National health service. You take the first available if I understand it correctly and I don’t want that. I want the freedom to choose it all and the fear is that my ability to choose will not exist if we go national health service. I would rather pay extra to have health services on demand rather than being on a 6 mos wait listNo. We absolutely must either have the English system or the Canadian system. And we will adopt them without buttressing their positive aspects or addressing any of their constituent weaknesses. There is no other option. /s

I can say the same about your assumptions. I dare say your level is understanding is no greater than mine. You are blind if you think Uncle Sam will put your best interests above its own. Once again, I don’t want that. Oh I’m sure people will spit and polish it in the beginning, but it will end up being the same socialist garbage those Europeans have. If it’s so great then why aren’t people leaving here in droves to go there for treatment? You know, like flow across our southern border. It was sarcasm, that's what /s means at the end of a paragraph in internet speak.
And you're making some assumptions about a system of healthcare you admit you don't even understand.
