I didn't read all the posts on this thread.
But has it been brought up about what Yellow did with Preston after they bought them out?
They allowed Preston to keep running their operation on their own still as Preston.
After a time Yellow started bleeding off Prestons freight accounts.
Which dryed Preston up.
Than Yellow just let them go to file for bankrupcy, and as the saying goes the rest is history.
I worked at Yellow as a casual city driver back in 1986.
I allowed them to use,and abuse me,untill I got sick of them.
I for one don't trust Yellow very much, they say one thing while their thinking along the lines of making it good for themselves, and to bad for you,if you don't like it.
Theres plenty of others that are willing to take your place.
I'm sorry if I'm being negative, but if I was in this situation,I'd rather be working for Yellow now, than for Roadway,NewPenn,or USF.
I'm sure Yellow is thinking of the best way to strip all of these companies of their freight, than let them go,the way they did,and tryed to do to Saia, and Jevic when they were Yellow companies.
In my opinion from being a city driver for a living, working on my 44th year.
The bigger the company the less they can be trusted.
