FedEx Freight | Gardena CA on strike, walkout!

Wow.
30ish drivers at one terminal. Best wishes.

"....eighty-five FedEx Freight drivers in Gardena (Calif.) are on strike to protest the company's violations of their rights under federal labor law. The drivers are supported by Teamsters Joint Council 42 and their picket line is bolstered by three hundred Teamster member volunteers."

Worth paying attention to, I think.

According to another "U" website, they claimed about 30 drivers and about 300 members participated in the event...

From the same link you posted....
Only a small handful of our employees in Gardena are involved, and most of the protesters are outsiders with their own agenda. These outsiders have resorted to intimidating and coercive conduct against FedEx Freight employees attempting to exercise their legal right to attend work and to decide for themselves whether they wish to be represented by a union‎.

Again, guess this explains why no petition has been filed.

Good point Red, but perhaps, like too many locations to list, they are trying a last ditch effort to get the company to pay attention, fix the issues etc. Many WANT to believe they can fix it themselves. It's all speculation, and we know the news media only gets the story half right at best.

With the little bit of info we have, speculation is all we can do. Something set this off, and they are within their right. We stay tuned...

That was the Company issued statement.

All of u drivers that are "fed-up" go ahead and give ups, abf or yellow a try and get back to me. If theyre so much better for being union then frickin leave fedex. Ive been driving for 4 yrs now and couldnt be happier. Friendly mgrs, good benefits, etc. If this company sucks so bad then please leave and give drivers that arent gonna whine about every little thing a chance to make a nice living for themselves

https://www.nlrb.gov/strikes
Unfair labor practice strikers defined.Employees who strike to protest an unfair labor practice committed by their employer are called unfair labor practice strikers. Such strikers can be neither discharged nor permanently replaced. When the strike ends, unfair labor practice strikers, absent serious misconduct on their part, are entitled to have their jobs back even if employees hired to do their work have to be discharged.
Whats the unfair labor practice that this bs walkout is about?

You keep trying red racer, you keep trying. Downplay, deflect, mislead. And you acknowledge that this company is at will but still can't understand why we want the job security a union brings. Of course fedex will say a "small handful"...anything they can to downplay what went on. Go look at the pictures of how many guys wearing fedex uniforms were out there.

Gardena california???? Same **** ant size terminal as cinnaminson (or however you spell it) yeah, we see where that yes vote got them
