Von, If you are ok with us teaming up as heavy duty transfer driving semi retired sleeper team for Coop Dispatch LLC
with your approval, I would like to make a few suggestions, ( not demands) to Dave.
I can live with gray, but really like blue.
We will need at least 550 HP,3pd. on the column or automatic ( no double clutching required)
Recliner on shotgun side, pee bottle on each side, satelite tv would be nice, maybe a popcorn machine, just don't
want Dave to think we are greedy.
An 85% advance on each trip plus S & H Green stamps.
No touch freight only, no P&D,if drop and hook is required, A hostler should be provided.
All trips should be a maxium of 75 miles, should be dispatched day or night only.
We need a 1hr. meal period and 2 -30 min. breaks, each trip, plus sight seeing time.
We would like 3 wks vacation to start,5wks. after 6 mos. 14 paid sick days and 23 paid holidays
The 15% pay reduction is ok, but if Dave starts this, "pay is what you're worth crap, count me out"
Von, what are your thoughts? if you have more suggestions, feel free to submit them with this list to Dave.
One thing I forgot, I would like 35yrs. seniority along with some credit for 28 yrs I've been laid off.

You got it, Breeze and von. But your tractor will be gray and will say Coop Dispatch AARP instead of LLC.

But there is the 15 rule.
The engine only uses 15% of power on flat land.
You will have a clutch, but Donna will fix it to where you only have to depress it 15% of the way down.
Seats will recline to 105 degrees.
You will be allowed 15 bags of popcorn to throw in the microwave each turn.
You have to unload 15 boxes or pallets before a lumper comes in.
You're allowed 15 hours off before the next trip.
You're allowed 15 minutes on holidays to say goodbye to the family.
You get hostler service if it takes more than 15 drops and picks at a stop.
And to honor your seniority, Big Dave-style hats for both of you.....don't tell BRG and Wong.

Make the check out to Mrs Casey for the bail funds. I like your way of thinking. But you left out the Ice Machine. Has to be pea size Ice like Sonic Has. Great to chew on without having to have your crowns replaced. Scotsman brand comes to mind. Or maybe even a Manitowoc machine. The Cadillac of pea size ice makers. 2 - 30 oz Yeti Tumblers with slip on handles. Must be engraved his & hers. I mean His & his. And don't forget concierge services. Somebody has to crank the dollies & open them swing doors. And don't forget the fine looking woman who has a Masters or Doctorate in ELD's to help us hack the company software. That should do it. If I think of anything else, get back on board. von.

Could be. I forgot the 60 inch Samsung & the Lazy Boy recliner. Might have to stretch the wheel base, but I have all the confidence in the world Coop Dispatch can take of our needs. von.

Von, wacha think about starting a contest and offer a prize for who, whom or whatever comes up with the best CB handle for our semi retired team.
BRG would be disqualified because he posted "whats a CB?"

that big truck crossing that covered bridge this same thing did happen to new Holland driver about 7 yrs ago just north of Rockville Indiana there was a covered bridge he hit it bad got the truck wedged under broke about 10 beams over head it almost collapsed it. It cost about a million dollars to fix the funny thing is we were down there on vacation looking at covered bridges it was all roped off cause a truck had hit it but you could get up close to it to see all the damage . I did not find out it was a usf Holland truck that hit it till I got back to work 1 week later they had pictures posted at the terminal . there was a turn around road just north of the bridge he could of turned around it was a large road enough to turn around oh well chalk it up to the stupid file

The ABF Terminal in Fargo/Moorhead ND, MN as of 2 years ago had 1 person that worked the dock. They had a warming hut on the dock. You had to work 30 minutes then take a 10 minute brake to warm up. I actually spoke with the guy who had the dock bid & they used it about every 30 or 45 minutes. He said use was all based on the wind. They already had the cold weather gear. If they are breaking inbound tonight, they gonna use that hut for sure. Weather for the next 10 days ABF Fargo.

Know the crash site well. We camp about 2 miles from the bridge. Parke County is known for their covered bridge & the big Covered Bridge Festival the first 10 days of October. Beautiful structures. The one in Mansfield is foot traffic only during the show, but the locals drive on it the rest of the time. The east entrance to Brown County State Park is a covered bridge built in 1919. Most of the original timbers are in the bridge. von.

    Not much warmer down here.
    Cold doesn't last long.
    But it gets cold.
And I'm not gonna say anything about how hot it gets.

Everyone talks about automated trucks in the near future, but the first investment’s (maybe not by YRC/Holland) because they are cheap Azzes will be automated forklifts.

Already in use at the Amazon wharehouses and are much, much cheaper than the automated trucks.

Over time would offset labor expenditure as well.. no OT, No H&W, No Pension(well they already got that one), no complaining about working conditions, no breaks.. yes you would still need a small number of general labor to do the Manual work, but overall cut costs dramatically.
