OK, I have to speak out. I must have lived a sheltered life while at AF/FXF for 15 years. My backgroud was: I was an hourly employee doing a salaried job in road dispatch at IND, and then forced (if I wanted to stay in dispatch) to take supervision when the company first came out with overtime pay. I was well respected by everyone (I think) I came into contact with at IND. My philosophy was the Golden Rule of treating people as I want to be treated. Did I CHEW *****, yes, if warranted. Did I take constructive criticism, daily (unless yelling was involved). Did I see some red shirts who behaved like sourpickle stated. Yes, and i talked to them about it and if that did no good, I made my feelings known to the CSM, sometimes that worked, sometimes it fell on deaf ears.
So, that is me, a red shirt. And I get somewhat offended when a post says "those red shirts". To me, that would be like, heaven forbid, I came across a serious accident caused by a FEDEX driver, and stated for the world to hear, "Those damn FEDEX drivers need to be fired and their CDL license torn in half on the spot".
Hope you can see what I am trying to say. If you have a problem, what is wrong with saying that piece of tird red shirt at Dallas, Fred B. needs to turn in his laundry. Call the hotline and name names, they are required to look into it and report back to you. Don't just be part of the festering boil of discontent that is spreading across the company, BE THE OINTMENT that makes it better.
