ABF | Teamsters Divided

I took the Advantage plan thru Anthem. I pay 39 per month for extra eye, scrip, & dental insurance. Works for me. If you have a lot of medical problems, bet the F or G plan thru AARP or any of the big carriers. If you have little medical issues get the advantage plan. Under advantage the insurance carrier takes over your plan & manages your Medicare. No advantage plan you manage & pay all the medical bills directly. Both have a annual limit between 4500 & 4900 out of pocket. After that, 100% coverage. Big diff between advantage or traditional. Read the fine print. Do your homework. Then decide. von.

Thanks Brother.

BECAUSE JAMES R HOFFA GAVE ALL THE MONEY TO THE MOB.

Hoffa didn't give the funds to the mob. The government took over Central States in the 80's because the mob supposedly used funds to invest in Las Vegas real estate, casinos & cat houses. The mob's investments were very profitable & Central States was well funded. There was little to no government oversight of the funds & it lost billions. Friends of politicians profited quite well while our fund suffered. No, Hoffa did not give our funds away. Goldman-Sachs & Northern Capital were given ultimate control & the results were a disaster.
Another factor was deregulation of the freight industry which weakened the Teamsters which was the main goal of Jimmy Carter & Ted Kennedy.
Another event that hurt our fund was the 94 freight strike which put several freight lines that were under the NMFA out of business & allowed non union freight lines to prosper.

1982 when the consent decree started, the pension fund was 42%. Doing business with the mob wasn't that profitable.

Go to the CSPF forum, Freight Master posted this information, it is time people quit posting Teamster "myths"

I think it is in bad taste, that some of you rub your pension riches in the face of Central States Pension Fund ABF employees. ABF pays in $8.55 an hour into CSPF. In the thank you 107 forum you boast about your $13.22 to $16.00 an hour pension contributions.

So much for the concept of equal pay, for equal work. It is no wonder "The Pension Select Committee" is going to put an end to these shenanigans. Before it bails out the PBGC.

canary, docker, muler, go40, ltl1, don't you feel ashamed, taking so much, while your CSPF brothers lose every thing. I might be a TROLL, but I'm not a deceiver like you.
Let us stay on topic people, this isn't the supplemental insurance forum!!!!!
