Lmfao. Ok.No sir like my post stated unity not union. You could twist it to think it is, but you can interpret how you so choose.

Sorry. That’s a statement. I’m not playing. We have been hearing for three years now how good the teamsters are for us. show us already. I see how well your union drive did in the OD forum.... again, you want our support? Earn it.
That’s part of the game I’m guessing. Show me something. Anything.I feel quite confident that it's not the Teamsters dragging their feet, after all, they wanna contract. The company, not so much so I think if we want to see something after all these years we should get the company to quit stalling.
I think they've shown by helping guys get their jobs back who have been wrongly terminated, get some jobs elsewhere for those whom chose to not return. They have also fought the certification objections of the company tooth and nail. That’s part of the game I’m guessing. Show me something. Anything.
The company is using whatever tactics they deem required. Some illegal, and they have been fined and forced to make things right. They are under no obligation to make it easy. And why would they?I think they've shown by helping guys get their jobs back who have been wrongly terminated, get some jobs elsewhere for those whom chose to not return. What's XPO done to make the process for these guys smooth and and easy? Well they fire people, file appeal after appeal, and stall in negotiations.
So, in my opinion asking the union to show you something is no more that a red herring.
Thats my point...so for you to ask for the union to show us something is a red herring...to make them look bad for lack of immediate results when YOU KNOW that the company is pulling all of the stall tactics they can.The company is using whatever tactics they deem required. I don’t see it that way. But that’s fine. We can agree to disagree.Thats my point...so for you to ask for the union to show us something is a red herring...to make them look bad for lack of immediate results when YOU KNOW that the company is pulling all of the stall tactics they can.
That's fine, but it's kinda like trying to deliver freight when the company won't give you the tools. It either can't be done or it will take a lot longer to accomplish.I don’t see it that way. But that’s fine. We can agree to disagree.
Is that how you got your healthcare system, by waiting for them to show you something better?Sorry. That’s a statement. I’m not playing. Apples to oranges. Comparing a federal program to union negotiations doesn’t make sense. Is that how you got your healthcare system, by waiting for them to show you something better?
Its actually really good. 15 copays 30 specialist prescription is dirt cheap dental is outstandingI do not know any details about Teamcare so it was only my advice to ask someone who is covered under it what is like for them. From what I have been told the coverage is excellent. Teamcare has different coverage levels and I have no idea what will be negotiated.
Sitting on your hands hoping things get better doesn’t either, yet many seem content to do soApples to oranges. Comparing a federal program to union negotiations doesn’t make sense.

It's easy to just keep showing up to work and occasionally complain about this and that.I got orange stickers. Try accomplished.
Remember back when the pro union guys swore that the company had one year and then they would be forced into this that and whatever ?
In the past year, 5 have left XPO for the Post Office, UPS and ABF. When they tell us what life can be like in this industry, it's demoralizing.[/QUOTE working on jumping to Walmart . insurance quality is in question, I have been advised this is an issue there.

For those of you that are pursuing unionization , good luck. After working with this company for years , I don't have the drive to fight against the utter stupidity an ignorance that pops up daily. Not just with XPO , but with the working class in general , you see spirit crushing crap everyday. Although as a group ( union and non-union ) drivers are THE largest group of people that work in the US of A , the lack of communication and coordination lets people underpay and withhold benefits that SHOULD be available.
Almost every driver is working class. Almost all face the same or similar issues. If there was agreement and coordination politically on common issues like retirement , pay , healthcare , these things would be resolved almost overnight due to the sheer size of the potential voting block. No union would be necessary.
Oh well...rant over.
Was it cause the drivers chose to decertify? There was a time when nearly the whole trucking industry was union. They didn't stand together then either.
