This is the change they started working on last September. OMG
Some " brand" merging would not surprise me in the least.
We're hearing they want holland and new penn end tailed.
Why close or merge either one of them? There the ones making money.

They can do all the brainstorming they want with their pencils. After the change if they still operate that way they always have since they have merged together it will be for naught
One big happy family but still smaller than Roadway in its prime.
I don't think Reddaway's O.R is doing worth a hoot.No sense in two companies losing money out west.

They could not afford to lose that many drivers in that short of a time, they would be bankrupt within six to nine months.
Must be a really big change. Still not sure where they're going to get drivers to fill utility positions-unless utility is a very small part of the change

I remember when they bought Spartan way back in the late 80s too. Just seems like trial and error until the big guy says we are all screwed.
Nobody cares about the brand and nobody uses YRC for Yellow or Roadway. Our service and quality suck but we price it to win it like CF did until it closed.
theres big changes at npme these days. all of a sudden there replateing all all tractors with Indiana plates. we got freight falling off the dock but no equipment to haul it or enough drivers to move it. word is boston is 30+ loads behind, they just back them against the fence. think we are now worse than central transport. we must be hauling this freight for damn near free . lots of Walmart crap. finger print time clocks just installed, yet new handhelds that were promised to be in place in april are still not up and running. couple here couple there. so now you saying endtail me into yrc that has destroyed my company and turned it to . be behind drivers like we have that cant back into docks, cant find 3 out of 10 stops on any given day. and still be the lowest paid ltl drivers out there. never though I would have to start over at 60, but I will and would before I ever worked for yrc freight especially with an endtail.
Endtail? That's what some yellow drivers told us senior guys at roadway before the merger. I'll told them nicely if that makes you feel better keep believing. Seniority is about all we have left. If you need to worry about something there's always our retirement.
