FedEx Freight | Fedex - In The News

Was it a mistake, FEDEX telling Amazon to take a hike? Appears so, FEDEX is down 8.44% to 101.64, UPS is up 4.44% to 91.91. With 3 times as much outstanding stock, that makes UPS about 2 1/2 times more valuable than FEDEX. I bet those franchisees drivers at the FEDEX ground barn, still wax nostalgic about when the stock was at 275!!!!!
All I know is that if you invest $10,000 in YRC stock at $1.50 per share and a year later you sell it for $3.00 per share you've doubled your money.
If you buy $10,000 of UPS stock at $91.91 and sell it a year for $183.82 you've doubled your money.
It makes no difference other than that.
Trust me you will see FedEx stock at $275 again.

Was it a mistake to tell amazon to take a hike? In my opinion, no.
They still deliver for them.
Why commit a huge percentage of your resources for one business?
dow down 30%, amazon wasn't going to help that.

I misunderstood, I thought you meant FEDEX's decline from 275 was political. I agree the media would never have piled onto a democrat like they are Trump. Trump's a vulgar bore, but he's a million times better than Hilary.
FedEx has saved over 3 billion in taxes over two years.
They have bought back their own stock at a record pace.

You really think they're stupid enough to buy it for $275.00 per share?
Why not intentionally lower it?

Screw Amazon. Why in the world should we be kissing their ass when they are a competitor? Let them deliver their own Chinese junk.

While it's possible that Amazon was 1.3% of revenue, that business might have cost way more than that to service.

‘Like military base on high alert,’ FedEx hub aids COVID-19 fight

Long story, but interesting numbers showing the scale of the effort...

"An Air National Guard C-17 airlifted 500,000 swabs for coronavirus testing from Italy to the FedEx Express world hub at Memphis International Airport Tuesday morning. By that night, FedEx had divvied up the shipment and delivered it to COVID-19 hotspots around the country.

An Air China chartered by Chinese billionaire and Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma delivered at least 200,000 test kits and a million masks to Memphis, where FedEx helped process the shipment.

As the COVID-19 crisis has deepened in the U.S. in recent days, FedEx in Memphis has moved hundreds of thousands of testing components, at minimum, and is prepared to move millions more shipments as the pandemic unfolds."
