On one hand they say...less government....on the other they shove everything they possibly can on the government.

The ATA should be saying..."this is a capitalist society and WE will keep it moving".

Instead they want people out of work with no money and the government taking care of it.

Perhaps these execs see the unions failed pension get bailed out by more than a total of $110 BILLON over the past 2 years.
If someone can mismanage a pension by more than $100 BILLION why not a company???
Just asking for a friend...

The government cannot pick winners & losers
Subsidizing this company has hurt every other carrier.....

They shouldn't pick winners and losers, but they do everyday......they tailor laws that lobbyists make "suggestions" on (all about greed, not for good).... they bailed out banks, GM, Chrysler (2 times)....
 
10 road drivers were put on layoff in Memphis,TN. 5 had just graduated from their academy and were training. I'm currently training for my CDL through the CDL academy, does anyone know whats the hiring policy is regarding academy students that are suppose to get a position after attaining their cdl but the Memphis terminal has current layoffs?

There’s no contractual language on the training academy that I know of, sorry.

I am "Grateful " for the Bail Out . But at the same time ,I am also some what embarrassed . Why should we be a burden on the American people ? Liars and thieves , maybe ?

I am embarrassed and really pi$$ed with all the billions in financial and military aid we give to countries in the Middle East, and most of them hate us on top of it.
