FedEx Freight | Fed ex insurance and joke of a raise

I swear sometimes I think your learning impaired CT. I never said they didn't watch it. I said I don't believe that anything they read on here will have any impact on corporate decisions. If an executive in the board room or any high level meetings with corporate executives used truckingboards as a reason for making a decision they would probably be terminated. Decisions are based on numbers not a bunch of disgruntled truck drivers.

And once again I will point out you don't work here and have no idea what your talking about. If you had watched all the videos and seen some of the changes that have been made you would see what im talking about. Like I told u before alot of the times Harrison Arkansas was the number one viewer you not being in the know that is freights headquarters and you being naive think that Is a coincidence. Also when a driver comes on here and says they need a bump bid and a couple days later poof there is a bid up sorry thats not a coincidence.

I give up. Your hopeless. Your right and I'm wrong. Let's drop it and move on.

I'm guessing he missed post #124....I also work for this company and I agree with you Train. He even made a post claiming how he used one of the tools provided by the company and saw results, which I don't doubt. As for his claim about the bump bid in post #161, I'll say pure coincidence...it takes more than a couple days for those decisions to be made, much less implemented.

Just because you think a situation is a major concern doesn't mean that it is. I know a 35 year road driver who showed me a letter he wrote to the President of the company because he saw his SCM walk into the bathroom, use a urinal and then walk out without washing his hands. He was appalled, and demanded the SCM be terminated! Get real. The company can't force people to be sanitary. Oops, just realized I'm going to get blasted for not demanding anti-bacterial soap and camera's in every men's room across the country. Damn... this message started out okay and then tanked in one hell of a righteous indignation nosedive.

Sorry for posting.
You'd have to fire 3/4 of the drive here for that since their mommies never taught them any better. I just love touching doorknobs after you've played with your Johnson and walked out without washing your hands. Lord knows what dribblets you've left behind on the doorknob after u wiped your behind

The right to free speech only guarantee's you can criticize your government. You do not have the right to rip your employer a new :censored:, whether in person or on social media. If you do so, you're giving them an excuse to fire you, without recourse. Read the book. Wise up and quit complaining. We have it damn good.
Hallelujah!!!!!! Haha

Just remember, a truck driver who isn't complaining or looking for a reason, is a bored truck driver, indeed!

People totally misconstrue the first amendment, and more importantly, they forget what they are "entitled" to in the workplace.

If you stripped a job down to simply what your entitled to, removing all privileges, nobody would want to work at all. Perspective!

Now, equality between service centers, within the same company? That's not an argument I'm completely prepared to have. It really comes down to the fact we live in a free market, capitalist society. Companies will make moves, as well as employees based on attractive options and pressure applied in various areas. Your years of service are irrelevant. That mostly is a truck driver thing.

It's not always roses, but dang it, I maintain it til the day I die that we still have it good.

Might want watch your mail from Cigna. Insurance might have stayed the same, but some of your Doctors you have been seeing may be dropped or moved to out of network.

If it gets harder and harder to open the door when coming to work, then it's safe to say it's time to move on (at least that's where I'm at lately).. Yea, it's good money, but let's face it, it's a crappy job. Forcing yourself to stay awake at night, and if your run is under a certain distance, crawl inside and find a forklift and deal with toppled over frieght, extreme heat or cool depending on where you live, little or no social life.... Yea, good money but at what price??
I'm trying to hold on until the kid is 19 , but the thought of 5 more years is killin me

Hang in there dude, although a lot can happen in five years, five years will be gone before you know it!! I know that's easy for me to say being at a hub on a daytime run but we've all been on nights at one point and time in our careers and I'll agree, it's tough on anybody mentally and physically...which is why I was told long ago that's why road drivers in our industry make the bank that we make. The only advice I can give from my time on nights is get as much rest as you can. I know it's hard with a family since they're on a different schedule and you don't want to miss any more than you already do, but the proper amount of rest goes a long way.
I saw a sign today that read, "Don't take life to serious because nobody gets out alive!" With that being said, get your rest, enjoy your time with family and friends, and most importantly, have fun!!

Well, of course they are.
Well, not so much as CT would have you think. I know a couple Center Managers who say they check it out from time to time. Our higher ups???? Not a chance. They are to busy running a Company. How have these changes come about? Simple. The Surveys we all fill out. Meetings with our Managers and MD's. The online Suggestion forums. These are the things they look at.........and listen to. Anyone who thinks Fred sits at home with his laptop looking at TB needs to check in to Betty Ford. And if he did, after an hour of reading some of the gibberish on here he would probably sell Freight to McDonalds. I've said it before on here. Freight is a new animal to FedEx. We operate differently than his other Opcos. They have made mistakes in the past and probably will in the future. But, they are making an honest attempt at fixing them. I'm proud to put on this uniform. I'm grateful to have this job.

You have a refreshing outlook, man.

Been here for 20 years and this insurance sucks. It's great till you use it, have a major illness and you'll find out the hard way.

Have had to use when I had surgery could it be better, but it took care of me and it takes care of my wife ( who has crohn's ) and that ins you dislike so much has paid for a great deal.

The problem I'm seeing now is doctors and hospitals don't recognize the HSA that the company set up. 2 weeks ago my wife had a out patient surgury at the hospital and all they see is you haven't meet your deductible. So guess what the doctor wants 900.00 upfront and the hospital want 2000.00 upfront. The deductible is only 1200.00 per person. I had 1100 in hsa. It was a fight with weeks of phone calls between anthem and the doctor to promise they would get there money from the HSA. If I had payed the money upfront try getting it back.l even had to get benefits from Fedex involved and they said they are being guite a few cases where even though you in the network the doctors don't care about a hsa and wanting tons of money upfront

I don't know what hospital that is, don't want to know. It's just that my wife has crohns and has been in the hospital 14 times in last 3 yrs and not once did we ever put money out. Every time we have been billed. She has been to specialist no money out or very little. What is billed is set up as payments over time
