Our "do something" is done by voting with our feet. If we're not happy with the way things are run, we use them to go somewhere else. Whether or not I agree or disagree with what is being done is a moot point. As a road driver, my job entails showing up and doing the job I was hired to do. End of story. Anyone that believes that they are owed something because they have been long term employees or have been loyal are finding out that the company is around to do one thing, make money. If it's not doing that then it is management's job to make it get there, however they can and the investors don't care how they do it.
This entitlement mentality is exactly what's wrong with our society as a whole. Hell we can't even get drivers to properly look at a tire or do a post trip, how are we going to "wake up and do something"? We are not in the loop of making changes, we are merely a tool that the company uses to make customers happy and make money.
