Do you wish you had a 2nd amendment like the US? Or do you think this makes Canada less violent?

I guess you can stab and punch people - just not as much shooting like the US.

Article detailing some of the rules to gun ownership/permitting in Canada

handguns have been registered since 1938. Nothing new. You can get a ccw, criteria are extremely strict. Cannot use restricted firearms( ar series, ak, FN, etc) for hunting. Restricted scan be used at approved ranges. All other sporting rifles with a few exceptions, all legal to own sell and use by licenced people.

It is. But officially, they are still a figurehead.

There's a republican movement in England, too. On a technicality, the monarchy still rules England, Canada and Australia. But the monarchy has largely been removed from decision-making. They have no real power and are not involved in running any of the Commonwealth countries.

There are people who believe that we should completely sever ties with the monarchy. There are people who believe it should remain as a ceremonial figurehead. Most people don't care because it really doesn't matter one way or the other, which is why it's not likely to ever change.

Toronto banned handgun ownership within the city several years ago. People still get shot there all the time, and it's not usually by the cops. So I would say our views on gun ownership haven't done much.

Until the the crown is disposed, you will allways be the subject, and not the sovereign. I shall pray for your release from these despots.

This is off subject but it was a real shocker to me when I realized Great Brittan was not a super power any more. When it took such an effort to take the Falkland Islands back. I remember President Reagan pledging support to Prime Minister Thatcher.

Europe has been imploding for decades. American media never reports it. Unfettered illegal immigration has destroyed Europe. There are whole sections of France, Britain, and most European countries that are completely Muslim, and no go zones. Police will not respond to 911 calls there.

I visited France last summer. There was a noticeable military presence around the tourist attractions.

I've read that it's coming under consideration to allow the doctors to take private insurance. Just a percentage, they can't changed entirely to private insurance. One man lived in pain for 3 years waiting on surgery and retained an attorney to sue the government for his years of pain. I read that by allowing doctors to accept private patients they will be able to get to patients quicker and the patients will be able to have surgery sooner. I believe it's supposed to be a cross between socialized medical and private as in the USA.

They're not going to report it either, especially not while Obama is still president. I've read that Trudeau is a globalist also and has allowed the so-called refugees into Canada. Since many aren't armed and probably won't ever be armed it seems like a case of calling the wolves into the enclosed campground. Obama has opened our southern border and many think it's Mexicans that have been crawling over the line but many are from other countries also. And the do-gooders who think we apparently have an unlimited wealth so we should share it and if you're against illegals then you're racists, bigoted and xenophobic..don't realized just what will happen if we're overrun, wealth diluted to the point of a drop of fresh water into a sea of salt water proportions: we'll be 3rd world also. Diseases coming in, pests that these people carry and none have hygiene that will stop the spread. There was a reason for people to be kept on Ellis Island until checked before being allowed into the country. And it's funny how people scream that we're so MEAN for not wanting to help the women and children then pan a camera onto the refugees and see only young, strong and able bodied men.
They've been brainwashed into thinking patriotism is racist (seen that on a poster during a protest), that we should hate ourselves because we've had it so well. I recall that just a generation ago (for me anyways) my Dad and his brothers/sisters out in a cotton field trying to make enough money to pay for food. My grandmother taking in washing and my grandfather would use cotton thread and hand make his nets to help fish so he could make a extremely modest living. We have always had people in poverty and in spite of billions on free housing, food stamps and a monthly check we still have people in poverty. Sorry for the preaching but I can't see how releasing millions of immigrants into a society that is already struggling can help the immigrants or the country they're going to.

I've been watching the clips on YouTube from this channel. They're Canadian and they have a different take on how well off Canada is. Also they lower the boom on things going on in America.

The bizarre part of the refugee situation here is that most of them are either living in camps on military bases or with families that took them in. They don't want jobs, or to contribute anything. They want to milk the government that so generously took them in. Most of them are complaining about the conditions and some have already gone back home.

This post has really gone of the rails. Just to get us back on track I found out some other things the sneaky Canadians are doing. They celebrate Christmas in Canada !!!! Why can't they stick to "" Boxing Day" ??? Let's get real here. And why can't they celebrate the birth of OUR Lord some other day??? #buildthenorthwallfirst!!
