XPO | Con-Way Freight Workers in Texas Join Teamsters Local 657

This vote is a beautiful thing. It is almost like we are the Tea Party. Now it's up to the drivers at CW and Fedx to hold their ground and take their companies back. The decisions being made by the top have effects and those effects have hurt the base, all in the name of greed. When the base crumbles the structure fails,it would behove mgmt to open their ears and close their mouths.

Respect is earned and a two way street. Each party needs to respect the other. While each opposite party needs to offer something worthy of being respected.
According to Con/Way they should be the people who determineds who or what gets respect (LEAN) ect. not according to ones accomplishments let alone by what anyone has to offer!:hysterical::smiliewhs:

I was referring to the pissing contest part of your post. I'm waiting to see what happens in Laredo, with respect to the company response.

Yeah, I got that. Just wanted to see if you would elaborate. You're right, better wait for your company to tell you what to say.:D

Seriously? You just compared a union to the Tea Party? Unions are liberal organizations supported by the Democratic Party. The Tea Party is a Libertarian movement based upon individual freedoms. You may as well have compared Obama with Reagan and said their politics were the same.

This is a perfect example of how union supporters are uninformed. They blindly swallow every line the union feeds them. They do not take it upon themselves to be informed of BOTH the positive and negative consequences of being unionized.

Unions hinder free-market competition. The US economy is based on capitalism and competition. This is why unions continue to hurt the employees they represent, by trying to be socialist in a capitalist economy. In the end, it doesn't work, the numbers don't add up and the unions will fail, if not today then not far into the future.

You think this is a win? Far from it. A contract still needs to be negotiated. For those who don't know history, google UPS, teamsters, Philadelphia, 1967.

I like your point here but as with anything in politics it will be ripped apart by the other side.....They too have a side......See....In politics there is no winning. And in todays politics there really isn't even meeting in the middle and finding some of compromise....Everyone is just too damn hard headed and close minded for the most part.

I know I'll get ripped apart but I still wanted to voice my opinion. I've been following this topic for awhile and kept out of it. I'm not a manager, I repeat I'm not a manager but I work for Con-way. I have issues with how things are run too but I have other ways of working them out with company.

I know it doesn't matter that I said I'm not a manger. People on this board will still accuse me of being one...lol.
