Off Topic: When times get tough ( business slows down ) wouldn't drivers get laid off ( economically terminated at Con-way ) before dockworkers since drivers get paid more. It seems this is the direction that the upper management is leaning towards. Also , how does seniority work for vacations when it comes to dockworkers and drivers. Do they impact the available days off when they're off?
Reading FedEx thread and dockworkers ( driver apprentice? ) can sign up to train to get CDL and hold seniority spot over a newly hired driver that already has a CDL. Do we do it like that at Con-way?
