Wifes Brother was killed in Khe Sanh 50 yrs and three weeks ago. Her other Brother was fighting in the Mekong Delta's sweltering heat at the same time. One of her Brother In Laws was let out of VietNam early, to bring the body home.
I salute any and All Vets. Every one earned it!
I lost a first cousin in the Delta, stepped on a mine, his 2nd day there in Nam.
My brother was a shake n bake sergeant in the Army. He broke his leg while training troops. He was finally sent to Vietnam with ninety days left in the Army. My brother-in-law was suppose to go to Korea but got on the wrong plane and wound up in Vietnam. Both made it back ok.
Wife's brother was supposed to be out, but extended a week before they sent his 1st Marines Charlie Co to free those trapped (6000 Marines vs 35,000 RVA.) The trapped got out, Charlie Co stayed behind to clean up/ leave no man behind.

In all fairness, the poor lighting makes that tractor look gold colored. Wong and I were on special assignment when that happened. We were repairing gates at terminals that were run over...
