FedEx Freight | "Realignment"

Sounds like there may have been something to the "Change of ops-Sept" on kronos a few weeks back.

Myself and a few other drivers saw that on the Kronos clock a few weeks ago, while punching in.

No it's not!!!

Yes it is,do you guys think they will have a bid where you can switch to express or ground and back to freight if you want to? Do you think they will train every division to do the other divisions job? Do you think you will pick up parcels and then swing by the airport real quick to drop them off on your way? This is dumber then the FedEx buying Vitran deal.

Here's a scenario that was ran to us before the merge of National and Freight,The divisions would stay the same but to cut empty miles if a trailer at another facility ground, freight, express, that a road driver could swing in and pick it up and take it and drop it in route. So they have looked into something of this sort years ago. So how long has it been on the table and maybe its ready to roll out.So the end result they city guy from that division would still handle the end destination.

That would make sense.

This is what A UPS freight driver was telling me they are doing now. All of the new trailers just say UPS and the road driver may have 1 freight trailer and 1 ground trailer. He said their new pups have the pintle hook lower like the parcel's pups. Maybe we are going to give this a try as well. Half of the purchase van will be freight and the other will be ground. who knows

Has anyone else been told that 95% of stops on peddle routes have to be delivered by 2 pm and that eventually this will be a new service product ?

Here in So Cal, we are doing our deliveries by 2pm all this week. Was never told this would become a service type.

Spoil sport. Just couldn't let them stew. Going back to five regions instead of three. Or is it three instead of five. RC doesn't give a shiiit.

It makes sense, but they have a hard enough time coordinating our freight, let alone throwing this in there

We were told 70% by noon and 100% by 1400. It doesn't happen though. Some of the guys fed up with all of the companies BS make it a point to not meet any goals
