it doesn't seem logical to me that a teamster would not listen to the teamster leader telling us what is really going on with company. telling us what will happen if we vote no and if we vote yes. to all those spreading negativity if you really do not like what's going on why are you still on board and haven't jump ship .i'll tell you why cuz there's no lifeboat for you. meaning jobs aren't falling off trees . there's a saying in spanish better to have a bird in your hand than 100 flying. meaning if you have a job save it, than going out and looking for one that isn't there :17:

I guess that depends on what you want to hear, my teamster leader told us before the last cut that this is what they needed and if they can't make it after the paycut and pension suspension then they will never make it. so I am going to listen to him and say they cant survive no matter how uch you give back..

It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good.

I never had it so easy doing absolutely nothing all day

Sorry I have made it before Yellow and chances are very good I will survive afterwards. I have another full time job as we speak in the event YRC falls which is what will happen soon. I wish it did not but with the managment system the way it is it is amazing that YRC has survived as long as they have.

So now what's the truth here ? Below is your post from 08-19-2010 07:25 PM !

Well sounds like YRC is still up to its old tricks being a bunch of control freaks with a bad managment system. Funny really that YRC managment is really not in control of anything so they resort to playing control with its employees over the most stupid of things which are so common to any other work place.

Glad I left so I don't have to deal with a weak kneed union and a sorry a** company.

The question is, what do our so called union leaders have to lose if this vote is yes? they wont lose there pension, they wont lose there security or even be told they can only work 4 hours and get paid a reduced rate.... We don't even listen to the President of our country when we think hes wrong! why would you expect us to listen to hoffa or tyson when they haven't had any pay cuts, or lost any of there security!!

If your not in the fire, you cant feel the heat.... Im sure if they were asked to take the cuts in money, security, and work rules we're being asked to take.. they would be fighting like hell to have it turned down!!

Well here is the deal R14 driver-I took a leave of absence and came back for this mess to unfold. I had some guys talk me into coming around...again...for a second round. Hey what can I say? I had to get in on the vote I was told so there it is and here I am. No worries though I will be voting NO and then when its all over we will have jobs or nothing-or at least I will have a job. And yes my local union blows wind and I have told this to them. They have catered and pushed us into helping YRC out at everything and giving in to everything both locally and nationally. They have thrown out our local work rules even though they said never give up anything because you will never get them back bhut they went ahead and gave them up for us. At the national level, du*b**s Hoffa gave himself a 27% pay increase not bad in exchange for us to give up 15% of our paychecks and no pension so whats the beef? I DO NOT LIKE THE PRESENT COURSE OF THINGS WITH THE UNION OR YRC! They have lied to us and thats all there is. Beside, can't anyone drink some Crown Royal on the rocks and post here on Truckingboards?

R14-youre quite the smart guy-rooted out another liar, likely a hedge fund employee or Conway/ABF troll.....YRC should hire you to do quality control.

Stop trolling here !

Hope they just file bankruptcy and get it over with. Its like a turd that just wont flush. If they don't do the dang reverse split, which I hope they don't, they need to get it over with and down size considerably or close its doors. Just my thoughts and plenty of other people have thier own.

Let us think back, was the first concession vote to save 40,000 union jobs. The second was 35,000 union jobs, now the third vote is to save 25,000 union jobs.Hell I`m getting tired of saving jobs! We have lost 15,000 with the concessions, and they need more??What books are they looking at,it has gotten worse with all the concessions?? What and the hell books were they looking at the first time??
