at this Point, it sounds like some members are going to become non union, at new jobs they have to pick up because of this winding down of ups freight, so why sit there and tie the noose for your own hanging?

Listen they the IBT offered to continue to negotiate ,What don’t you understand ,Firm and final offer from ups .

what dont you understand about the ibt selling their members out? you dont think you'd be in a better position had the ibt not FORCED that garbage contract onto package?

are you really trying to blame this on the membership? they see how crooked the ibt has become, and you are sitting there blaming them?

Bill, lets talk about selfish teamsters who don't want to give up part of their wages to pay for health insurance for retirees.

Bill, what about TWO TIER wages. You know Total compensation, comparing union and non union total compensation. If people had that information, they might think it unreasonable, that they voted to go on strike.

Wait a minute ,No offense brother ,but a firm and final offer means ,no more talking and dialogue,The company is counting on you the member to cave in and with that talk you are ,They rfysevand wait for you the membership to take the next move .Its I dare you.If you think every one is a crook in the IBT ,Then lead the charge for decertification and negotiate your own deal .Really!!!!

the membership authorized a strike, then had worthless tentative agreements presented to them. i have no doubt the membership came to the realization that jr is not exactly playing hardball with ups.
THEN, you guys were left to hang when ups package had their voted down contract forced on them. there goes all the leverage you HAD. if the entire process is a sham, why waste the time. get my point?

cant you see the big picture, now NOT one of the issues that the membership had will be improved, and the ibt gets their dues because they sat on their hands while the company scared them into a bad contract.

what lies? how bout the entire process from start to finish, since the membership basically has no voice.
 
Actually trucking is a very small part of the Teamsters Union.
They represent so many other careers,trucking is really very small compared to their total portfolio.

Though sad that trucking was the routes of the Teamsters.
