WowI don't know if anyone is interested but I just got this off of the XPO board, it is there new insurance pricing for this upcoming year :
Got mine in the mail. I'm under the Classic PPO. Pricing for you and spouse is $51.23/wk, $34.62/wk for you and kids, or like me $74.08 for the whole family regardless of how many kids you have. Other noteworthy changes deductible is now $750 individual $1500 family. Out of pocket maximum is now $5000 individual, $10000 family. But, office calls to a primary care doctor are now a $35 copay, doesn't count towards deductible but does count towards out of pocket maximums. $60 copay to see a specialist, $45 copay for urgent care, and $150 copay for outpatient hospital emergency room.
Do you drive one of those fancy peterbilts..... I use to see them all the time in buffalo.I paid a visit to the Detroit terminal today. Brought in an empty from Toronto and left with a load of paint. The ladies in the office were pretty pleasant with me and helpful in telling a first timer like me where I needed to go and what I needed to do.
But then unlike most drivers from Speedy, I speak clear English and don't stand awkwardly in the corner waiting for my load. The hostler was helpful too when I had trouble getting my fifth wheel unlocked, let me borrow his hook.
wong we don't work in the same terminal do we?NO unaccountably for anything any more !! This company is so far out of control , they are so afraid to fire any Driver's, because nobody will apply !! Its crazy Driver's are doing whatever they want to do ,take unlimited breaks & just trap any freight they don't want to take & bring back half of there load cause they didn't want to Del. the stops today & fights between driver's is out of control !! YRCW has WON they have us all hating each other & fighting among our ranks !! and YRCW knows they will get a YES sheep vote again in 2019 if they keep us fighting with each other forever !!
Lol. My rig is a Kenworth T660. Nothing especially fancy, no chrome, lights or wood here.Do you drive one of those fancy peterbilts..... I use to see them all the time in buffalo.
So , it will be interesting on how Holland will stay in business , with the inability to hire Driver's ??, it will be crazy after the 1st of year when a lot of Driver's are retiring or Quitting after the Holiday pay and sick days renewed 1st year ! this -15% is coming back around to bite them now !!
We have most our freight because of our reputation. When Yrc bought they started taking the freight from us and customers started complaining saying if we don't move it you don't get it all.The sad part is Holland is just a victim of circumstance and they are having to deal with the situation YRC has put them in. I'm afraid that if y'all ever get out from under the Yellow anchor the company's reputation will be so damaged they won't be able to stand on their own and they won't have the workforce to do so either. It's really a shame to see what was once a great company get stripped and destroyed by no fault of their own.
Yep , agree , Holland was once the Best and now they are the worse and a bottom feeder company , and nobody will apply !The sad part is Holland is just a victim of circumstance and they are having to deal with the situation YRC has put them in. Too bad that wasn't an old ass trailer.
Here WAS a somewhat new one. Lol
PEEP HOLES ? ? I put a small "peep hole" in a trailer once (bridge overhang) and got a letter for it. Now they come that way ?Yeah all the new ones have tin roofs with peep holes along the top. Starting with the 515 series
I marked it "like" but do not like it. Holland was indeed a premium cpmpany when I started there after my other company closed. That was back in the day when you had to fill out paper job applications. When I got an interview with the TM, he had a stack of applications on the floor behind his desk about 1 1/2 foot high. That is how many wanted to go to work for TNT Holland back then. I started the next Monday on the dock as a casual (full scale), then combo city/dock before being put on the list 3 months later at full scale (no giveback or graduated steps to full pay back then) went on line-haul 2 months later (no ride-along).Yep , agree , Holland was once the Best and now they are the waleorse and a bottom feeder company , and nobody will apply !
I don't like the looks of it. Reminds me of the covert, underhanded way that Lakeville Motor Express slowly first shifted payroll and office operations from Lakeville Motor Express to LME (Logistics Made Easy) in a separate building, intent unknown to union members, then covertly changed the equipment logos to LME before the owner created a shadow non-union company a few miles away (also operated out of the same LME operations offices) called Finish Line Express (FLE) then siphoned off Lakeville freight and customers to FLE creating a reason to file bankruptcy and close union company Lakeville Motor Express. Notice the underhanded way they played games with the company logos to hide their intent to screw the union employees out of their jobs. Lakeville closed with no notice on Nov 19, 2016, refusing to pay employees earned wages or earned vacation and sick days, claiming there was no more funds to do so.
It's hard to sell a known bad product. I drove for Yellow Frt city P&D for a short time back in the 80's between good jobs. The customers, even back then, were constantly complaining about Yellow's slow poor service, lost freight and damaged freight. They took out their (justified) frustrations on me, when I had nothing to do with line haul operations at the time. It got so bad and so frequent that I had some cards printed up (at my own expense) with the TM's name and number on it, along with the claims dept., the city dispatcher's name and number and also the dock supervisors' names and numbers. Whenever a customer had valid complaints, I just explained that "I understood, but I was just a delivery driver" and they should call the people on the card to get some action and if nothing happens call again to tell them you will never use Yellow again. Shortly after that, I quit and went to a different, better company - first Jones (JTL), then TNT Holland in 1991. Sorry to see that Holland has declined to what it is now. It's not the first company to be dragged down by Yellow Freight.Worthless, Lazy, Salesreps overselling discounts. and FAK's!

Continues ? ? I think you meant "does not continue". I think it already has caused service interruptions and affected long term loyalty of long time customers. That has led to poor morale. It is hard to keep a positive attitude when the ship is sinking and the captain refuses to acknowledge that fact.I hope for all of your sakes that this continues. I would be concerned that the poor morale and service interruptions due to lack of manpower might jeopardize the long-term loyalty of some customers.
They'll just slap some aluminum tape over the hole and send it down the road.Too bad that wasn't an old ass trailer.
