Do we know for sure that's not a road driver starting out without doing a proper pre-trip inspection? Just saying.
We had a road driver at our yard once that hooked a double set and left the yard with both trailer doors open. He wasn’t really sure if there were tires on the left side.Do we know for sure that's not a road driver starting out without doing a proper pre-trip inspection? Just saying.
Dispatch told me, back in the day when I worked P&D and had such issues, “that’s why we give you a pallet jack driver”.I’m sure he can work around it, per dispatch
Probably! Was this pic taken at 0800 and the pallet on the right has a 1200 appointment? Asking for a friend…
are trying to say ALL city drivers do pre-trip inspection?Do we know for sure that's not a road driver starting out without doing a proper pre-trip inspection? Just saying.
We had a Terminal Manager in Scranton that said by the time we got our bills and started rolling down the driveway it should be no more than 12 minutes. We got that changed in a hurry. A bunch of us took our tractors and trailers to the shop and told the mechanics that they have to pre-trip it make sure everything‘s OK because he’s not giving us enough time. Everything was back to normal after thatHERO.

“If it rolls, it goes”.Last time I spoke to a city driver he said, "Pre-trip? We don't need no stinkin pre-trip".
For a while at Roadway Abq. it was "Out the gate in eight".We had a Terminal Manager in Scranton that said by the time we got our bills and started rolling down the driveway it should be no more than 12 minutes.
What about your 2 wheeler? Did it have to be in the front bumper? For a while at Roadway Abq. it was "Out the gate in eight".
They also gave us sticks marked off in inches to check how much fuel
was in our city tractor. I think it was if you had two inches of fuel you were good to go.
