Ups does it every dayThere's zero chance of putting any package freight on rail. Transit time obligations would simply be impossible to meet.

I would imagine that FXF is gonna find itself for sale at some point in the future.FedEx Freight will continue to provide less-than-truckload freight transportation services as a stand-alone company under Federal Express Corporation.
DO YOU BELIEVE THIS STATEMENT? WHY ARE WE SEPERATE? SELL MAYBE?
Let's not forget... Economy FREIGHT consistently brings in more revenue per ship. Many customers will sacrifice speed for price, even just a dime or 2. THAT is the golden goose discovered from the whole priority/economy model. Again, MANY (not all) customers default to economy. Same is likely to apply to packages. There's zero chance of putting any package freight on rail. Transit time obligations would simply be impossible to meet.
"Raj Subramaniam will serve as president and CEO of the combined organization [FedEx Corporation]."
"Effective April 16, 2023, John A. Smith will become president and CEO of U.S. and Canada ground operations at FedEx Express [Federal Express Corporation] and assume leadership of surface operations across the FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Freight businesses. Richard W. Smith will serve as president and CEO of airline and international at FedEx Express, overseeing all other regions and FedEx Logistics."

True that. Personally I doubt any intention to sell (too valuable an asset strategically), but that certainly lends credibility to the theory.Freight being as far down as. Dataworks, CC and Office is not reassurance.
