Someone has to be a rebel! It is very difficult. Find enough pissed off members and go to meetings. Learn the Roberts Rules of Order! Disrupt meetings peacefully! Object, make points of order, question minutes and monetary amounts in both the general fund and pension fund. Find out what an LR2 is. You can request it and find out where all of your dues money goes. FIGHT! I can help you.
 
That is excatly correct. You see everyone line up for their "FREE" Turkey. At the October meeting I counted more retirees than I did current YRC employees. Get informed, stay informed,do not allow the suspension of reading of minutes of prior meetings.That's where the nuts and bolts are at! The winds of change are starting to blow!!
 
By choosing to back Hoffa pat flynn showed how are out of touch he really is with his membership. how much more can the members take. I think we have been ignored long enough and I for 1 am ready for a change
 
it looks as if this thread is loosing steam. I was afraid of that! After reading the 150,000 club report i thought more members would be outraged!!!!!!!

outraged how about flabbergasted! I'm starting to think that Flynn is back somehow with tdu, it seems strange to me that Dawes the 2nd highest paid teamster donated 1500.00 to sandy's campaign this is a well known fact in the convention. The almighty tdu always puts out the 150 club before but not this time. The 710 election came and went and still no list, just seem strange to me that it's posted after we might have needed that info. I don't think the tread is loosing steam I think it's going to be heating up. How much can 710 members take before there's a revolution ?
 
I am starting to believe that not enough members care either way. Between the Federal Government,Big Corporations,and Big Labor,they have beaten down everyone down to the point where everyone has to just worry about themselves,and their families. I do understand that a man has to take care of his family first! However the big three has everyone EXCATLY wher they want us. Too many people have forgotten its the POWER of the PEOPLE not the leaders!!! We should be the ones in charge of our own destiny,not the so called Leaders!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!

When was the 710 election, I did not recieve a ballot. The 150 report has been on the tdu website for awhile.:horse****:
 
The latest was just posted on 12-02-2011 on TDU 150,000 Club where Pat Flynn was made top the dog by finishing first as the highest paid Teamster in America!!!! YEAH!!! Go 710!!!!!

I think he's talking about the election for delegates. I'm sure you have already figured that out pilot being the election was just a few months ago or are you 1 of the 10,000 that claimed they did not get a ballot
 
710 pat and the boys == overpaid think about this

if dawes flynn make about 1 million include his secratary 127,000. for a secartary i ve heard really shame on that should be making more like 40k. wonder what the H&W people make more then 55000 ?? i wonder worth more then us dont think so......lets add in all the other over paid sweeney etc


so if everyones pay was less the 125,000. organizer 45,ooo the hall would say save 2 million in payroll----- rule of money every 7 years it doubles = 14 m in 7 years x 2 28 million in 14 yrs 28m plus 7 years x2 =14 years 42 million double that = 80 million in 14years go to 21 years 180 million thats alot of pension money we are losing people
 
PAT FLYNN AND THE REST OF 710 WE WANT THE TRUTH = son MATT= PAT FLYNN had the balls to say his son was raised for this job real insult..... i think matts wife or one of pats other sons wife works at H&W or maybe its his daughter if its matts wife thats real sad, but sad and wrong anyway i also heard one of his kids father in law got a job when his unioun company went out of bussiness he got an organizer job now hes in the international.......so come on 710 members let find out how bad the nepotism is i think jim dawes daughter works at H&W so how many family members cousins relatives Do they have in the hall..........time for change NO And I MEAN NO NO NO family members should have jobs at the HALL it gives a bad taste in its members mouth but also the publics percspetion of unions good old boy network just like WASHINGTON D>C and Corprate CEOS giving board of director jobs to there beer drinking buddies wait 710 on your dues money spends alot of time eating and drinking on our tab while you work 6 - 7 days a week in the rain cold snow heat or eat truck stop food and stAY IN BAD MOTELS THEY STAY AT 5 STAR HOTELS AND RESORTS FOR MEETINGS DRIVE VECHILES AND PAY FOR THAT AND THERE GAS IM SURE THEY NEVER USE ANYFOOD OR ALCHOL FOR PERSONAL USE RIGHT LOL ITAALL BUSINNESS RELATED 100 PERCENT NOT
 
The entire election process of the Teamsters, both local and international is flawed.....PERIOD!!!!!

We at 309 tried to vote out our POS BA and were overwhelmed with the SLATE process. Absolutely no individual has a chance to win any position either local or National with the rules the Teamsters use for their voting processes.

What we need is to Expose to national media, not a week or two before an election, the flawed and completely unfair election process used. This needs to be now, so it can build steam and momentum and create changes to the Teamster election process!!!

A major issue is that most of the members are happy with the process, thus they are not affected as badly as the lower seniority members--thus nothing changes.....

We need to start a movement, TDU has tried but not gone about it in the proper way...Members are not enough!

We ALL must use the Media....call reporters , newspapers, TV stations, CNN, Fox etc. and get our point across NOW! This way future elections and votes will be in the spotlight nationally in front of all, not just our members and then maybe, just maybe change can be achieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I for one am sick and tired of the socialistic format of our union, and if we could find enough membership support would gladly go for De-certification and start over with new, member first leadership.

I hope Teamster Leaders are reading this, to them I say FU, your days are numbered MF'ERs

Only we can change anything, but we cannot do it ourselves, we need national support from people who let the world know what we are dealing with!!!!
 
I'm not for decertification but I am for taking our local/international back. I'm tired of the ****** of our unions money. I have sat by and watched 3 of our union so-called brothers give there relatives jobs that totals 7 now out of those 7 people they get 14 pensions in what world does that make any sense?
 
I agree Red,I think its time to do one more organizing drive. That one would bring a group of Members to restore our Local PRIDE!!!!! I used to to PROUD to be a 710 member. We have let that slip away. I heard that a few members are looking into forming an alliance to run a slate to remove the "GOOD OL BOYS" network! I for one hope that is true!! Anyone else heard about this??
 
I have not heard of any one putting something together yet but I would be surprised of people haven't been thinking of it yet. I hope who ever does run that they put together a good slate. One with integrity !
 
Every election in 710 there are 2-3 slates that run against Flynn. Find a way to unify. Find the most influential people in the slates and start to agree rather than fight among yourselves. It will take the next 2.5 years before the next election. Reach out, meet, talk. It has to be done on weekends. The people with the most followers need to get together and delegate. Build a coalition. Not everyone can lead. Not everyone can hold the most influential office. Put your egos aside. Unite for the membership that you all want to serve. The electorate should serve the members. You have to remember that.
 
Can someone somehow change the thread title to "Are 710 members......." I hate to think people would believe truckers are really illiterate bozo the clowns.

Super moderator or not I don't think that you should just change anything expescially after two month after the thread has started. I guess your statement is that you have taken sides on this issue, I assume you and Eddie Bradshaw are friends but you should remain nonbiased in these issues. I should have been asked if it was ok to change. I would like to know what else have you changed can you change someone's comments too?KKid didn't seem to have a problem with this or maybe I went over the line if I corrected your buddy's name "fr8holer" is that better or maybe Al got mad either way r-78 I will be bring this up to jim and Jeff also Im sure I'll be doing it with e-mail because you will most likely suspend me now... I don't mind you to moderate but don't dictate
