Skeeter,
Nobody is bashing your pension here.....we just would like to know what it really is. JBG stated that it's about the same as ours, but nobody seems to know just exactly what it is. Buttonman said they won't really tell you what the pension is all about. I'm starting to believe that since nobody seems to be able to post just what the pension is.
they don't like to give info to employees ay 'O',just:BS: :BS: :BS: ,and lots of it:nutkick:

Who do you work for. Those aren't the wages Overnite pays. Oh unless you are not up to full scale. I think we have a long way to go to even deserve the wages UPS gets.

I look around at our dock and workers I can't believe the things they get away with. The work they don't do. No I think we have to do a lot of cleaning house then talk about more money.

I've worked at System 99 years ago so I know first hand how the union barns work. There was team work and every one pulled together. They was paid good and worked good. There was a couple that didn't pull their wait but not many.

Now we have a bunch of kids that have no work ethic and do more damage and hiding then work. No I say fix all the problems then talk about more money.

Ok then if that's not the pay scale what is yours.................again no info

Guess the "cleaning house" would mean getting rid of the Union supporters right Danny.

Danny if you want more money why don't you work the dock on your unpaid delay time like your hand book suggests.
Re-read that too.

I had the formula about the pension. Years of service multiplied by an average of the best 5 yrs out of the last ten, then multipied by a funny number like 0.00175. The number I'm not exactly sure of but the rest is accurate. I'm digging for it.

I don't get it? Clutchcargo says you don't get paid for every hour. Is the pay not uniform nationwide?

YES, THE PAY IS UNIFORM NATIONWIDE.

The dock and city get paid by the hour.
Top dock pay is $20.50
Top city is $21.00

The road driver is confusing to say the least.

The road drivers get paid by the mile.

Top road driver pay is .53 a mile.

If working on the clock dock, meetings, ect the top pay is $21.00 an hour.

Hooks & Drops I get paid a set amount .5 for droping & .5 for hooking @ $20.50 hour

Delay pay is $13.00 an hour. Starting after one hour passed my regular departure time.

My breakdown pay is $21.00 an hour after one hour passes. The first hour I have to give for free.

Snow pay is $21.00 an hour. The first 4 hours I have to give for free.

Accidents are not paid. All the time spent doing paperwork and waiting for a safety supervisor is for free.

I hope this clears up my above post.

not in disagreement with younger people not having much of a work ethic these days,SKEET, guess it's a sad but true fact, see it everymore,in lots of different industries/businesses,but I guess it's up to us to show how,and the right way of doing their jobs,as far as doing more damage and hiding,I think we can all agree that:BS:'s all done and overwith now,the ones that don/t wanna get with the program, and do their jobs, and do em right, won't be around very long,:sadwavey: everyone in agreement here,guys/gals?:smilie_132: :wavey:

Seems we need a little more clarification. UPSF/O is, I'm sure, as clutchcargo has listed.
UPSF/MC is as I listed prior. We were told to be patient and their intent was that our scale would equal UPSF/O as of July '07. They didn't mind taking from us now and waiting to give to us later. Key word is "intent". No contract, just company policies. Need I say how much confidence I have in that?
Also, just to clarify one more thing UPSF/MC Reno (union) gives UPSF one more scale.
That's 3 for the team!!!!

Wiggle Wagon, all your posts make alot of sense to me. I am also a west coast M.C. line driver and had a decent cut in pay after the edge conversion. The Union has my vote.

I talked to a UPS Team in Santa Rosa,NM and they said they have to give the first two hours of delay before they go on the clock....I know they are in the parcel agreement, and not the freight agreement..but they are giving their time for free also and have the so called representation of teamsters

No they don't have to give the first two hours of their time.

ARTICLE 43
Joint Sleeper Team Operations
Premuim Service Committee
Guidlines for UPS Mileage, LayOver, City Pair, and Sleeper Team Drivers

When sleeper team runs require waiting time at furthest point, such waiting time will be non-paid, but not to exceed two (2) hours

You have to give the first two hours of time at their farthest point or "Turn Around" point and you only have to give it up if you are waiting on a connecting load.
If you are delayed because the building is still loading you get paid as long as you are on time and not ahead of schedule.
If you do arrive and you are told to wait becuase a connecting load is not there then you must give up the first two hours, if you should wait one minute over the two hour then you are paid retro to the first minute.
If you are delayed you may chose to fuel, wash tractor and trailer and have anything taken care of at the shop and you are considered performing unscheduled work at a TA (turn around ) and will be paid full rate for every minute.

Know the facts before you come here with your guns blazing.

If you'd like I can send you a copy of the Article. It's 8 pages long and explains everything about the Premium service runs.

you always seem to get defensive when someone says something you dont like....I guess you dont like my name...

I said I talked to a UPS team in Santa Rosa....I didn't claim to have all the facts...just passing along info I heard.
If it is wrong...I stand corrected.
but I never claimed to be a know it all like you apparently are.

Defensive?

Re-read your last few words of your initial post.

All you were doing was insinuating that there was a problem becuase we are represented by the Teamsters.
Sure I was defensive you have to be against people like you. You can't even see your attitude in your own post. It's pretty clear where you were going with it.

You tried to start something and I shot you down, I'll continue to have this arrogant, condesending brash demeanor toward post just like yours.

Facts are needed to make a wise descision, Thats all I post. I back up everything I post. Period

WHAT??? You mean we waited all this time for your new jobclass and that's it? Man, I'm really disappointed.
