Yellow | Yrc Salary/hourly Employees

I knew some of the clerks I worked by would change it to whatever needed to be.
Over or under. Lol.
Before I left they were checking and weighing every stick of freight they could make a dime on. Now this doesn't have anything to do with delivery charges.
But I bet they were pissing off alot of customers even though they were right to charge them more for their ugly freight. Even if that customer were to go somewhere else to ship they would do the same. Cubing and weight are the biggest things happening before I left.
We had to weigh everything on outbound. Every lift had a scale. Even if the weight was ok you still had to write it down. Every stick accounted for.

Sounds a lot like Con-way...

office staff pretty much i know this is driver board but it seems to be the only place you can find common complaints about YRC

To the contrary my friend, you can find complaints about YRC in a lot of places...
On the street, at pissed off customer's docks, other disgruntled drivers.

So the "Government" is colluding with YRC and the Union to fool the workers. I guess there's a shortage of aluminum foil these days.
Hello , ever hear of Russian Collusion with voting ?? and think Russia is the biggest user of Aluminum foil too !!

Sure I've heard of "Russian collusion". I've also heard that the moon landing (50 years ago tomorrow) was faked. I just don't find that lots of what I've heard is credible.

Don't think they had the technology 50 yrs ago to do a live TV video & voice feed from that far away and no wind on the moon but the Flag was blowing in pics ? and shadows in pics too ?? But then again we have driver's that said they used to turn the west coast in 24 hrs , uphill both ways ??

Next thing you'll be telling me, you don't believe in Dick Tracey or Buck Rogers.

I don’t think people are any more pissed off at YRC than they are at any other LTL carrier. Go over to XPO’s board or Saia’s board. Just as many pissed off people there, too. Or any LTL carrier.

I've never had to put on 100 pounds of equipment to work on the dock in 90 degree weather. (like fire). Don't be ridiculous. Any of us ol farts would pass out in the first five minutes. Most of em just sit in front of a fan waiting for their next assignment.
And there are no emergency lights on any equipment so you can go as slow and cautious as need be when driving
Wow. No comparison.

Truck driving is more dangerous than Police, Fire and Corrections higher occupation fatalities look it up!
Statistically.
When you count how many LTL vs fire police or correction. Probably more people work in trucking in some form that those 3 put together. (not just LTL)

Professional drivers have a choice to proceed or not proceed. If conditions are unsafe, shut it down.

First responders run towards danger/conflict/catastrophe, being required to do so by the very nature of their jobs.

A higher rate of fatality statistic is misleading, unless compared by percentage per occupation.

You ever work on a dock in below zero or 90+ degree hot days? How about driving in the worst conditions imaginable Truck Driver job is more dangerous than Police, Fire and Corrections.

When I'm not working as greeter at Walmart, my part time job is a crab fisherman in the Bering Sea.
It's a lot more dangerous than any of you candy azz truck drivers can imagine.
